Shamuka Hotel

I recently stayed at Hotel Shamuka and overall had a pleasant experience. Pros: The manager was very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to get an early check-in and late check-out, which made our trip much more convenient. The staff were polite and courteous, always ready to assist with a smile. Food quality was excellent — especially the Crab and Pomfret, which is a must-try! The restaurant offers a beautiful view, making dining a delightful experience. The complimentary breakfast spread was quite good with enough variety to start the day right. The location is perfect, just a minute’s walk from the beach. Cons: The service was a bit slow at times, especially during peak hours. We faced an issue with the bathroom tap giving electric current, which persisted for two days before the room was changed. Some rooms in the same category don’t have balconies, so it’s worth confirming before booking. The breakfast refill service was slow, likely due to a shortage of staff. The evening complimentary tea and snacks could definitely be improved in both variety and quality. Overall: Hotel Shamuka offers great value for its location, views, and food quality. With a bit more attention to maintenance and service speed, it could easily become one of the best stays in the area.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. The hotel's location is perfect for those looking to explore Puri's iconic temples and beaches. The in-house restaurant served delicious cuisine, and the breakfast spread was impressive. Overall, Shamuka Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway in Puri. One Note : Need to fix the AC in some rooms. Our December stay in Puri was wonderful. The property is right near the beach, offering beautiful views and a calm ambiance. The rooms were well-maintained, the food was excellent — especially the seafood — and the staff was very courteous. Perfect place for couples looking to unwind and enjoy some quiet time by the sea.

My stay at Shamuka Hotel was a disappointment. The rooms offered little solace, feeling more like a temporary inconvenience than a retreat 🛏️. Service was unresponsive, a silent echo in empty halls 🗣️. While its location held some convenience, it failed to redeem the overall lackluster experience 🏨.

Good location. Close to the beach. Near to the market area. Very good and courteous service. Staff is very helpful and polite. Food in the restaurant is good but a little highly priced. Rooms in the rear are a little uncomfortable due to lack of ventilation.

I stayed here for 5 days and the experience was amazing. One of the best hotels in Puri at a prime location. The staffs are very co-operative and the service was very smooth. Loved it!!

Recently stayed at Hotel Shamuka with my parents and had a wonderful experience. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade facing the sea — the view was absolutely stunning! A special mention to the restaurant staff — Mahalaxmi, Subhalaxmi, and Satya — who were extremely warm, attentive, and made our meals truly enjoyable. Overall, a memorable stay!
