Hotel de Paris, Varanasi

If you want to experience century old Victorian Era Grandeur visit this Hotel. Not much information is available on public domain but I enquired the receptionist and was informed that this hotel was constructed for the British queen 👸 during her visit to Banaras. Big spacious rooms large central area and open space are some of the things you want find in the so called modern architecture for them it is a waste of space. I am mesmerized by the beauty the visit to this place is like reliving the nostalgia.

Nice humble staff..when we stayed few rooms were under renovation..so in future it will be 5 star. Slight late rooms were given to us..so service 4 star..A program was running in lawn in front..nicely stopped at 11 pm..so no sleep problem..Nice Staff..Thanks! Nice Peaceful area of Cantonment!🇮🇳

The only saving grace of this hotel is staff is well mannered n location is good. My Varanasi trip with my parents n kids was a great experience except for this hotel. I wish the hotel looked into following things too 1. Cable TV was not working. Every time I called up they gave different reason including renovation. Finally on the 2nd day nite it was found that cable was never recharged. Same done almost at 8.30pm on our last nite here. 2. The hotel does not have its own functional restaraunt and d only things they could offer was prepration of aalo or paneer. I won't b having paneer n aaloo for next 1 month. 3. Bathroom of room 164 was blocked and we had to repeatedly complain to get the work done 4. Geyser was most of the time non functional and I was told it's because of tripping. In this winter we took bath in cold water. On the whole poor service. I will surely return back to Varanasi but never to this hotel again. At the prices being charged service should be good if not best.

This very old hotel located at cantonment Area ,Think recently they have refurbished it now room are well mentaind, very clean than on my last visit few years back. I liked it.

Old hotel renovated recently. Only issue is mosquitoes are there in plenty which needs to be taken care of

Good hotel with very spacious rooms. Food here is also good. Although in varanasi you would want to eat out.location is in cantt area and in front of a mall so all in all a good location. Just it is slightly away from the mandir.
