The Clarks Varanasi

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was incredibly spacious, well-designed, and impeccably maintained, providing a comfortable atmosphere. All the required amenities were present, and on request, they provided a high-quality additional bed, which was much appreciated. The staff was polite and always ready to help. The hotel also offers convenient parking space inside, along with an outdoor seating area, which adds to the charm. Though I only stayed for a day and couldn’t explore all the amenities, the overall experience was positive. The location is also convenient, making it a great choice for travelers. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Our extended family has stayed at the Hotel Clarks for many years but this was a first time for us. Our rooms were perfect! Plenty of space and charming. We felt welcomed and the staff was amazing! It was so nice to get out of the hustle and bustle and be in a place of calm and luxury! We felt pampered from the moment we entered the property. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Varanasi. Thanks for being the calm in the storm.

Dear future guests, this is NOT a 5 star hotel by any means. The hotel is very old, and the rooms don't seem like they have been renovated in the last 20 years. We even found a cockroach in our room. Plus the room itself smells real bad. Breakfast was mediocre too. The only positive was good hot water in the bathroom. Definitely not worth the exorbitant price they charge. There are much better options out there for the same price point.

The hotel is one of the oldest in Benares/Varanasi and on one of the nicest roads in Benares. Food is very good but the breakfast buffet could improve- Variety, the coffee etc. Beautiful hotel but obviously rooms could do with an upgrade esp the bathrooms where the shower is in the tub. Management and staff were very obliging. We were a very large group. Would stay there again.

The room itself is good, comfy, and large, but it is getting old and I think this might be an old 4-5 star hotel that might need renovation, especially in the toilet area it looks so old (not looking good) that I hesitate not to use the tub. For breakfast, there is variety and mostly Indian traditional food, so if you like it, you will love it, but if not, then there is no other choice but to eat as well. Overall, not bad.

Excellent experience. Staff was very friendly & courteous in all departments. Room was very big, spacious & very comfortable. Daily breakfast was very enjoyable. Dinner was very good too in Central Hall restaurant. Would recommend highly

Room is ok. Washroom terrible, there was a leakage issue and yet we were not given another room. In the hotel for 4 nights and none of the nights there is availability for another room. Wonder why the rooms are even sold when there is an issue. Buffet lunch and dinner was very bad, desserts too. Better to order in or eat out. The two stars are only for the humble nature of a few staff.

Although the room had most of the facilities, everything was either broken or very old. The furniture in the room and the hotel is very old, doors and cupboard are coming apart. The iron was broken and not working properly, the bathroom sink faucet was loose and leaking. The room was not cleaned properly (floor was full of hair). The rugs were dirty and old. The food from restaurant was just okay. The options and quality of the breakfast were bad. I am surprised how this property is rated as a five star hotel. The only thing good about this place was its staff.
