HOTEL LA GOWRI, COORG

Had a very disappointing stay. Booked super deluxe room for 3 days. Firstly there is no lift for Super deluxe room in 4th Floor. Room is spacious but not much facilities and whatever available is broken. Secondly, water flow is very slow in the bathroom. It took 15-20 mins to fill a bucket. We are very frustrated with it and complained multiple times but no one came and they finally asked us to move to a small room if we want without any compensation. Lastly, Room service is worst I ever seen. We need to call multiple times to get water and towel. They will usually provide after 1.30 as they were always busy even though there are only 3 rooms are booked during our stay. we missed few places as they didn't provided the fresh towel and we couldn't able to get ready in time. Also they provide breakfast, please don't opt for it as it is very limited and you won't get in time so it will spoil your plan. Only good about this hotel is the location and it very near to Paakashala hotel which provides delicious veg foods. The above review is based my personal experience in the hotel.

My overall Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5) I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff's helpful attitude truly stood out, especially Chef Basaraj, the Manager, and the Caretaker, who went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. The room was clean and spacious, with 24-hour hot water and neat and clean beds. The breakfast was fantastic – definitely a highlight of the stay! A couple of minor drawbacks: The hotel only has one king suite, but online platforms allow booking multiple, which can be confusing. Also, there’s no basement parking, just an open parking space. Overall, the service and comfort made up for these small issues, and I would definitely recommend it!

Overall this hotel is definitely worth it. I really liked the amenities, the location and the breakfast was indeed very good. The only downside was the speed of the service. Otherwise the staff was polite and friendly.

Room was extremely clean. Location is very convenient. Bathroom spacious and clean. Helping staff, they sent back my missed article. Value for money.

Located right near the bus stand and market area, the hotel had very good rooms. But we had three poor experiences: 1. The place does not have a decent parking area (they seem to be developing an adjacent land into parking, but long way to go). If you park you vehicle inside we may have to move out atleast 4-5 other vehicles to bring out your vehicle 2. We decided to order for food at 9:30 in the evening and that's when we were informed that the chef had left due to some domestic exigency. This was never informed to the customers and resulted in us literally run out for the dinner (as almost all the hotels here close down around 10 pm 3. We had planned to check out by morning 8:30 after having breakfast, which was supposed to be at 8:00. It opened only around 8:45 and we had to skip the breakfast. This coupled with the anxiety and delay in moving our vehicle out of the cumbersome parking delayed the entire process by more and hour and half.

Rooms are clean and spacious, walkable to city market, near to Rajaseat and Pakashala veg restaurant. We stayed at two nights. It was wonderful experience @ La Gowri Coorg. VFM👍

We had a wonderful stay at La Gouri. Excellent room facility for family. We booked Quadruple family room. Very comfortable for 4 adults. Entrance is little difficult to find but rooms are very nice. Room service staffs are also good and responsive. Complimentary breakfast is limited menu but fresh and very good taste. The Chef Mr Basavaraj along with staff members have very friendly characters, making it comfortable for guests to feel free.

We had a great time at Hotel La Gowri. Staff is very helpful. Food is good & rooms are very nice.
