Hindustan Beach Retreat

I recently spent two weeks at Hindustan Hotel, coming all the way from the UK to just unwind and relax. I have to say, my experience was fantastic! From the moment I walked in, the front desk made me feel welcomed and valued. The entire staff clearly upholds high standards of service, which I really appreciated. The room service was prompt and the food was delicious. I was impressed by how hygienic everything was, especially the restaurant. The staff there, including Krishna, were polite and attentive without being intrusive. Krishna, in particular, stood out for her exceptional communication skills. Her experience in hospitality definitely shows, making every interaction pleasant. Overall, my stay was delightful, and I can’t recommend Hindustan Hotel enough. If you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy great service, this is it!

It's a decent and quiet place on Varkala beach. The rooms are spacious,beach facing and are quite comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was nice and the spread was good. Location of the hotel is quite good. One can walk to beach anytime owing to its close proximity.

I had a wonderful experience at Hindustan hotel in Trivandrum, Varkala. Krishna was absolutely fantastic—she went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, even extending our stay to accommodate us. Her service was outstanding, and she was incredibly helpful throughout our visit. The restaurant service was also amazing and added to our overall experience. The only downside we faced was when we requested drinks at the pool—there was quite a delay, and one of the staff members (an older gentleman) had a rather unpleasant attitude. Apart from that, everything else was excellent, and I would still highly recommend this Hotel.

The resort has an excellent location, right by the sea, offering beautiful views. However, the overall property feels old and not well-maintained. The swimming pool was in very poor condition, the water was dirty with algae and not usable. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and unreliable, which made it difficult to use even for basic needs. After raising concerns, the staff did try to compensate by upgrading our room, which we appreciate, but the upgraded room was not even properly ready at the time. The staff were polite and willing to help, but these issues overshadowed our stay. With its prime location and potential, this hotel could be amazing if it invests in proper maintenance and upkeep.

Super location. Good food especially breakfast buffet. Excellent staff. Special mention, Miss Krishna who was extremely efficient and helpful. Some upgradation needed in the rooms. Overall value for money.

Amazing stay at Varkala, must visit! The beach retreat is true to its name. The location is amazing. Located on the beach front, you can step almost directly to the beach front hotel entrance. The staff is super warm and welcoming. You will find all the utilities required in the room. The breakfast spread is also good, the view at the breakfast point on the 5th floor takes the whole glory of breakfast buffet with love counters to cater all your breakfast cravings. Amazing warm beach front experience!

We had a terrible experience!!! We had dinner from there. Food was very bad. None of them were tasty. Staff and services also bad. Kerala parata was almost half cooked and looks like rubber sheet. Total bill was around Rs4000 plus, but unfortunately we had to leave almost more than half of our food. Could not feel like even packing to home.

Hotel is not worth what they are charging. Rooms have the sea view but it is not beautiful as we fantasize. Beach in front is very dirty and polluted. Room size is good but rooms are not maintained properly. Wifi is poor and they provide single device login per guest. Furniture has bugs. Only one bed side table in every room. All in all, it is not worth what they are charging.
