Hindustan Beach Retreat

The hotel is situated right on Varkala Beach (Papanasam Beach). The property is nice, with clean and spacious rooms facing the sea. The hotel staff is supportive. As for the food, breakfast was good, but the service is very slow for lunch and dinner orders. The gym, however, is lacking; none of the equipment is in working order and needs to be replaced.

The hotel is located at the best place, the view from the room is great. Beach is just outside of the hotel. Breakfast menu is ok but lunch and dinner food is not that good, better to have food outside.

I haven't stayed in a better beach facing resort. Period. All rooms in this resort look into the beach and the beautiful blue sea. This is a must stay place..was thrilled to find this and shift from a very average place into the top floor rooms. Don't expect good value for money food but then they are kind enought to allow food orders from outside. Exceptional location and room.

Big spacious rooms with nice view to the beach. Location is the best part. Just next to beach. Hotel has a nice swimming pool. Lot of eating options and North Point is great with nice env and happening place in night. It's very close by.

Was skeptical reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised seeing the rooms..very clean and they have a beautiful view..food also was good....the down side was the location as its very crowded and too much of loud speaker usage till late night can be heard in the room. Final rites are done there hence very crowded....if you prefer less crowd and want to go for hol then its not the right location. There are 3-4 shacks also with diff cuisines available.

Rooms and location are very good including the sea view from the room. Complimentary Breakfast was good. The food that we ordered for dinner in the restaurant was below average.

For the hefty price this hotel charges, it has facilities of a 2 star hotel. Cold breakfast, completely tasteless. Food is just horrible. Infrastructure is very poor. They are only charging as it is beach side otherwise the hotel, infrastructure, rooms, food quality and service is not at all good

Beautiful Cafe on top floor serving good food. Service was great! Friendly and caring staff. Ordered tea, fries, southern fried chicken, soft drinks etc! Always love coming back here! Lovely breeze and view to add.
