Privasea

Privasea is a charming villa perched on the edge of a secluded cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea. My girlfriend and I felt right at home and the owner was responsive and gracious. We enjoyed a great breakfast every morning prepared by the caretakers who were always available for anything we might need. There are two separate units on the property. The one we stayed in was perfect…the bed was firm but comfortable, the bathroom looked to be newly remodeled and there was a mini fridge, WiFi, TV, etc. The property was a little tricky to find at first, but once we got our bearings we were able to easily go back and forth on a scooter provided by the owner. I really can’t recommend this place enough, it was a perfect romantic getaway and we enjoyed every moment. Thank you!

Great view of cliff and nice and comfortable property with recently renovated room. Likes : nice and large room with view of cliff/Oceanm. Host is always available on chat and provides immediate response. Ashfaq (care taker) is available during the daytime and helps with anything required including helping with auto booking etc. Dislike: services available is not upto mark for the price being charged ( it feels highly overpriced compared to adjacent properties with similar view) . I selected this based on availability of private chef but this is limited to reheating of nearby restaurant foods and preprarion of limited items like rice etc. you will be provided ready to eat or adjacent restaurant food for lunch and dinner. Would have preferred if this is specifically called out instead of calling out availability of private chef. Also terrace (key highlight of the property as per the pictures) is in bad condition and have broken pipes etc which is but unsafe and you can trip over it. Overall nice property but over priced for services provided. (Compare to adjacent pript). Would be great if onsite cooked food can be provided.

I paid 42k and booked for 2 nights , pathetic property , can’t even stand there for 10mins, what it shown in photos and reviews all looks like managed , pathetic property in all aspects including approach road to the property , please double check before you decided to visit this place

Location is good you can only enjoy the view of 🌊 sea and caretakers are good but food serve there by packing from another hotel or place and then serve there…the only thing is problem there

A picture perfect location! Infact pictures don’t do justice to the beauty that lies in front of this property. I will miss lounging on the day bed in the garden under the shade of the almond tree…for hours reading a book, listening to the waves crashing against the shore, taking breaks to view the stunning horizon, the fisherman’s boats, the birds… A dream! The caretakers Ansaf and Taarique were so polite and helpful, I can’t be more grateful to them. The property has a very rustic charm to it…perfectly complimenting the surrounding vistas. My only concern was with the bathroom… the cupboards are dilapidated and coming apart.. but the owners did reassure me that they’ve planned for a bathroom renovation this very month. So hope that the next set of visitors have a more comfortable experience. We didn’t feel the need to step out with a stunning clean beach right in front! And my god, the sunsets here are breathtaking! Here you’re paying a premium for the location and the views. If you can compromise a bit on the amenities… trust me the caretakers along with Anu Benny and team and the view will more than compensate for it… this is the place to stay!! 😊

Serene.... Beautiful location. Loved it. Would personally prefer this over Star hotels. The host was helpful. Can't describe the beauty of this location. Those who really want to have privacy and sea view - this is the place. The seating area outside & terrace are too good. Very well maintained garden. Breakfast was ok. The room was clean & neat. It was spacious. Had fridge, dining, small kitchen platform. Dressing area. The terrace had seating and a washroom. Beach is 5 minutes walkable. Caretakers were helpful. They arranged auto in the night when we had to visit the cafe in Varkala. Parking location is a 5 minute walk from the place. Note : Bathroom can be improved.

This place is a paradise! A quaint villa located few steps away from the beach. The place is thoughtfully done. The owner of the property is based out of Cochin but is 24x7 available on the phone and is certain that your stay is good. The place has three care takers so you don't need to be bothered about cleaning , breakfast etc. The villa also has a gorgeous deck/a patio overlooking the beach. We spend our evening watching the sunset We had an amazing and a rejuvenating stay at Privasea and we definately plan to visit once again!

Had a wonderful stay @privesea…. We glad with ur hospitality. Location is superb, just looking like heaven as injust front of the beach, Room was well maintained and hygienic. The terrace view is just out of the world. Special thanks to the host and the boys who served us delicious food. I also want to make my vacation home like this. Thanku PRIVASEA 🫶🏻
