April 2025 I stayed in this hotel. It was a good experience. The hotel is very old but the maintenance is okay for me. And the room size is very big compared to other hotels. Still they have installed the window AC but that also working fine. I have not experienced the swimming pool. From this hotel is very easy accessible to have water and road transportation.

I had one of the worst experiences of my life at Haweli Backwater Resort. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the property was extremely poorly maintained. There was no sense of cleanliness – the rooms were unkempt, and basic hygiene standards were completely ignored. The air conditioning in our room was not working properly, and despite repeated complaints, no assistance was provided. The level of chlorine in the swimming pool was excessive, and the water seemed visibly dirty, with insects floating in it. As a result, I developed severe rashes and itching all over my body, which led to an emergency hospital visit during what was supposed to be a relaxing trip. To make matters worse, the person at the reception was shockingly rude and unprofessional. When we requested cold drinking water, he flatly refused and even got into an argument with us. He also strictly prohibited bringing food from outside, even though the resort’s in-house dining service was inadequate and unhygienic. Overall, the lack of basic amenities, cleanliness, and respectful customer service made this stay a nightmare. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place at all costs. It’s not just a waste of money—it’s a health hazard and a complete disappointment.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Haveli Backwater Resorts and I must say, the service exceeded my expectations in every way. Check-In Experience: The check-in process was seamless and efficient. The front desk staff greeted me with a smile and offered a refreshing drink while I completed the paperwork. They were knowledgeable about the hotel amenities and provided helpful recommendations for local attractions. Room Service: The room service was prompt and the food was delicious! The menu offered a great variety of options, catering to different tastes and dietary restrictions. Housekeeping: Housekeeping did an excellent job during my stay. My room was always clean and well-stocked with toiletries. I appreciated the little touches, such as fresh towels. Staff Attitude: What stood out the most was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Every interaction, whether it was with the bellhop or the restaurant servers, was met with genuine smiles and a willingness to assist. It truly made my stay memorable. Overall Experience: In conclusion Haveli Backwater Resorts offers exceptional service that goes above and beyond. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with top-notch hospitality.

I stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The price was surprisingly affordable, especially considering the quality of service and amenities offered. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout my stay. Everything is just right here. Neat and clean hotel, ample parking, smooth check-in, spacious rooms with all accessories, wide corridors and open areas. Best part is you can hop on shikara just across the road. Good options for Buffet breakfast. They also did the Taxi booking for my onward Travel very quickly. Though we spend less than 24 hours in Allepey but I was very happy with my stay here. One thing missing was refrigerator in room. I would recommend this anytime.

Our stay at Haweli Backwater Resort was extremely disappointing and far from what was promised. The overall hygiene and cleanliness of the resort were appalling. The rooms were dirty, there was no housekeeping support, and the entire place looked neglected. The air conditioner in our room barely worked, making the stay uncomfortable in the heat. The swimming pool was full of insects and had a very strong chlorine smell. After using the pool, I broke out in painful rashes and had to rush to the hospital due to severe itching and skin irritation. Clearly, the water quality and maintenance are not up to any acceptable standard. One of the most frustrating parts of the experience was dealing with the staff. The receptionist was extremely rude and disrespectful. Instead of helping us with our concerns, he argued and refused even basic requests like providing cold drinking water. On top of that, they didn’t allow us to order food from outside, despite the resort offering limited and unsanitary dining options. Overall, this place is mismanaged, unsanitary, and lacks even the most basic hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend Haweli Backwater Resort to anyone—it was not just a bad stay, but a health and safety concern as well.

Lovely hotel with clean and neat rooms. Very nice ambience. Food was delicious. Easy access to boat house boarding point. Will recommend to my friends circle for sure 👏🙂

Good hotel. Large rooms. If you are from a city where you have dinner late be informed that here the restaurant closes at 9pm so don't be late or you may have to order from Zomato.
