OYO Hotel Golden Heritage

Check-in was good. Staff good. Mostly attentive and aiming to please. Location could not be better to visit the Golden Temple. The building is old. Rooms could do with a makeover. Bathroom especially needs renovation. We could hear all the rude noises from the neighbour's bathroom. We paid Rs700 and that seems to be somewhat the norm in the area for this sort of place.

We chose the Golden Heritage for the venue for my youngest daughters rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception. Everything went so smoothly. The venue and the staff were just perfect. All of our hotel rooms were clean and convenient. Thank you for taking the worry out of this very special weekend.

This type of manager's bad behaviour has never happened to me before.We booked two rooms for two days via Goibibo but they disregard online bookings when we checking in for hotel rooms.And demanded more money and suggest to book offline.We had a small baby & woman with us but they continue to misbehave and say that they can offer a room only if they pay more. and It's a horrible experience for me.

This 1 star is only for the hostel owner (a really cooperative man) and for the room. I would like to give 0 stars for the staff members, as they were non-cooperative. Seriously, they really frustrated me. Beware of those staff members, they are bad people. I had an uncomfortable situation there at 3:00am. Actually, my mobile network was not working at that time and I wanted to book an Ola to go to the railway station, so I asked the staff member to help me book one. He booked an Ola for ₹103, but charged me ₹300 for just booking an Ola, which included taking ₹197 for just using his mobile. Additionally, the television was not working. The room, however, was hygienic

Even as this hotel is only a stone's throw away from the Golden Temple, it is strictly avoidable. Since we were two girls travelling, we decided to book a place that was closest to the temple quarters, and so, we did. The rooms are really tiny, very very dirty and there are no windows. While we paid 800 rupees/ night, which was in no way, cheap, it was not value for money whatsoever. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been washed in ages. Only good part was the really kind room service facility, great in-house chai and location. That's about it. But trust me, you wouldn't want to pay for sleeping on stained bedsheets and bathe in water that has particles floating on it.

Place is okay but the hospitality you can't beat. They were very polite, always available to listen to your requirements. We reached earlier than check in time but staff provided us the temp room, so we can get some rest. Also the place is exact opposite to Golden Temple gate entry, so it's a A+ , we have saved lots of time of travelling just by staying at this place. The place is also middle in the market so you can visit almost each and every local Shop / market by walking or get a haathrickshaw.

We checked in into this hotel at around 11:30 PM. We negotiated well to book the room well within the budget. The room was nice, clean and Staff was polite. But it lacked the wifi services. They are stringent about their policies of checkin and check out timings, so be aware.

Negative rating should be their for this hotel. Washroom sanitation didn't worked, drinking water not provided, room was messy. Only positive point, closeness to Shri Harmandir Sahib. This hotel should either lower their charges or else provide facilities as per amount being charged.
