Comfortable stay, beach front location. Nice staff. Had meeting with Sanjay from the hotel. Very Welcoming and supporting.Resolve all queries very quickly. Changed my booking date without any harrasment. Recommend for family and friends.children play is there, nearby restaurants and market. Near to railway station. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms with all required amenities.

This review is honest and slightly lengthy, but please read it thoroughly to decide whether this hotel is right for you. This was our first visit to this hotel, and we were initially attracted to it because it seemed budget-friendly, located very close to the railway station, right by the sea beach, and looked beautiful from the outside with a small courtyard in the front. Based on these factors, we chose to stay here. But the moment we arrived, we were totally shocked. We reached the hotel at around 10 PM, completed all the formalities at the reception, and went to our rooms. To our dismay, the two rooms we had booked were completely filthy. Despite informing the hotel staff, they did not bother to clean them. There was insufficient lighting in the room, the floor was dirty, and the bathroom was also extremely unclean. The TV didn't work, and the balcony was filled with pigeon droppings. The chairs were unclean, and it was obvious that the bed sheets hadn't been changed for days. During our entire stay, no one came to change the bed sheets. Additionally, there were rat droppings in the room. When we complained, no staff member came to address the issues, and their behavior and don't care attitude were very disappointing. We had to endure three days in this unhygienic environment. If you can compromise with these unhygienic conditions, then you might consider staying at this hotel. However, from our experience, we would rate it as one of the worst hotels.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future

I booked New Shankar International for my parents, drawn by its great location and promise of a relaxing stay. The room was average—functional but nothing exceptional. The biggest disappointment, however, was the breakfast experience. I paid an additional ₹550 to ensure my parents could enjoy breakfast at the property with its amazing view, avoiding the hassle of venturing out in the morning. Unfortunately, what was offered for ₹550 was very basic: just 4 puris, 1 sabzi, and tea. It felt underwhelming and not worth the extra cost. I expected a more fulfilling and diverse breakfast spread for the price. In hindsight, I should have encouraged my parents to explore better breakfast options outside the property. The location is undoubtedly a highlight, but the value for money, especially for breakfast, needs improvement. A little effort in enhancing the dining experience could make this property much more appealing.

Good cheap hotel with in affordable price. Sea facing room and corridor available here . Close to beach. Parking available. No lift, so quiet painful for aged people. Good peaceful ambience. Nice for timepass....

The hotel lacks one major thing that is cleanliness for which I am rating 2.5 stars. Hotel staff is good and friendly. Rooms are quite spacious. From the pictures this might look good even the pictures attached from my phone looks good as it has image enhancement features. But in reality it needs some maintenance and most importantly cleanliness specially the bathrooms. Roads leading to the hotel are narrow(200-300mtrs mostly) so if you are coming in your 4 Wheeler you need to drive a bit carefully. They have parking inside the gate but it's very tight. And 2 cars can be adjusted. Online prices are higher, i would recommend to call and check for offline prices. We booked two rooms for a price of Rs. 3200 all total, which we felt was okay. This price may go up and down depending on the season and tourists available. They have a lawn which was good. Staff available to carry luggage as well. Rooms were quickly allotted. But as soon as we entered the room we found cleanliness was missing. The bathroom was not cleaned. Bedsheets have some stains. When asked to the staff they said we recently changed it. Blankets were not washed. Few broken wires were also there. Balcony was filled with pigeons and bird droppings. Hot water was available on request in the morning time. We adjusted, as we stayed just for the night. These are a few things which Hotel management needs to look and maintain. At least cleanliness should be there, other things can be manageable. Food we haven't tried there. The beach was nearby hardly 5 mins walk but not much activities this side of Puri you will find. Lots of stray dogs roaming nearby so please be careful whoever is coming with kids/infants. Rest I would say for the price we paid it was okay. But very poor for cleanliness and maintenance. Kindly take it as a positive review and work on the maintenance part. Rest things were good like service, greeting, price of room, size of rooms, staff support etc

I recently stayed at Hotel New Shankar International and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. Here are the key issues I encountered: 1. **Cleanliness:** The room was not up to standard. After reaching Puri from Kolkata at 12:45pm by Vande Bharat Express, an Auto Rickshaw driver taken us (i.e. Me, my husband and two kids) to different hotels for accommodation, but till 4pm we didn't get any suitable hotel near Sea beach as my son desired. Then we visited The New Hotel Shankar International at CT Road, Puri. There we met Miss Ritu and interacted ab't the accommodation. She said at present there's no rooms available. As the Hotel was nearby the Puri beach, we insisted Miss Ritu for a room, then she was so kind to told us that the room will be available at 7 pm. Then we visited the beach for time-pass after keeping all belongings at Hotel waiting room. Then at 6:15 pm, Hotel staff called us saying, " the room is ready, Sir". Then we were alloted room no. 203 for 3 days, i.e. from 11/10/24 to 13/10/24. The room was so poush and at 1st floor equipped with AC, TV, Geyser and a balcony with sea view. We've spent nice time in that room. Later, extended the accommodation till 15th, but for booking issued the hotel provided us a new and better room at 3rd floor with sea view facing. The room was cleaned time to time. During leaving the hotel, all hotel staffs behaved nicely. Altogether, a nice experience in the hotel.
