Highton Hotel

Right in the middle of the city, Hotel Highton gives you a good budget stay. Since we booked online, we had to pay 300 more per room. We booked two. You may want to call them directly and book your rooms, to get a good deal. Anyways, the hotel is in the market and has a lot of parking space (for about 6 cars, I guess). The biggest drawback of the hotel is that it does not have a restaurant. You will have to find food joints, which are at least 200 meters away, in the main market area. The staff is really helpful. Check the doors and the windows before you get in. A good place for overnight stay, like we did.||||* Ask for mosquito coil or mat, as there could be a need at night. ||* Rooms were damp when we arrived, but upon opening the windows, it was nice in a couple of minutes.

Quite a decent place for a night's stay with really cheap rates. One negative is that there is no restaurant. But cola's, water and fruit juices are available at the reception. Staff are very friendly and informative. Ambience is good and quite. Double beds are not available, only single beds joined together. Had trouble getting hot water, it was available only in the morning for an hour, which was a bit of a inconvenience.

This hotel near to Madikeri bus stop. Just 1km away. About rooms very clean and hygienic. Actually booked double bed room but easily accommodate for 4 members hence it has plenty of space inside. Hotel has enough for parking of 4-5 vehicles. Negative point is there is no restaurant but no. Of veg and non veg hotels will be found. (Nearest veg and non veg hotel is choice walkable distance). Omkareshwar temple is very near to hotel just 1km away. Definitely I recommended this hotel for family.

Reception is very good. the cleanliness of the rooms are good. accessible is easy.||the location is in centre of madikeri town. car parking is little difficult for new drivers.||they did not have any customized theme.

Strategically located. Calm and clean rooms. Walk able distance from bus stand and other prime shops. Good for short stay. The bathrooms were clean, parking space is also available for cars. Overall it is worth the value for money.

If you are a bike lover and want to spend a day or two in Coorg/ Madikeri, this is one of the best budget hotel where you can get a room for 2 at 1000 bucks approx... Yes lots of savings.. I left the room in the morning at 6, roamed all places around coorg and reached at night, just for resting, this place is one of the most preferred one. Just the rooms are bit smelly, kindly carry a room freshener as the staff too doesn't have any room fresheners.

Only stay here if you can't find any other place. We needed roof over our heads and a bed only for one night. That's all this place can offer, roof and a bed. Thankfully there were no bed bugs / other pests in our room. Rooms are damn cheap (obviously) which is the only pro. Price ranges from 450 to 950 for their deluxe rooms.

Before booking I had checked the reviews of the hotel and also tripadvisor ratings.|The hotel don't have a restrurant but restrurant service is mentioned in the listing in tripadvisor. No room service, rooms are too cramped and hence the room cost is not commensurate with service provided. The pictures shown in this site is misleading about the conditions of the rooms.||Dissappointed with overall service of provided. The cost we paid doesn't justify the condition of the rooms and the service of the hotel.
