HUBIN INTERNATIONAL HOTEL XI’AN||||We were on a China Eastern flight to Shanghai that was cancelled. The airline transported us to this hotel. It is a typical Chinese hotel that would not reach a 1 Star to western standards. The price of a room per night equates to $USD30||||We were a party of 3, (2 parents and 1 child) and they would not allow us to sleep in the same room||||Our experience started to go very bad when a con-artist tried to get our confidence by trying to help to translate over a smart phone translator. She posed as a passenger on the plane and we almost certain she was not!||||We became very aware that she was in cohort with another man (he was seated and they were in constant eye contact with each other) My wife was wearing her jewellery, we were one of the few westerners and we felt vulnerable ||||We were approached by another Chinese woman who asked to share a room with my wife. (Not sure if this was part of the scam or simply another passenger who felt vulnerable)||||We asked the hotel to call a taxi (we planned to return to Xi’an city) to the Crowne Plaza and the con-artist sent our taxi away on arrival and was trying to hustle us to stay at the hotel||||After some tense moments, we managed to organise another taxi only to find she was still trying to cancel our taxi||||She seemed to have the confidence of the security guard at the hotel and we had to become very assertive to remove ourselves from the environment ||||My personal view is that she is a professional and had we gone to the room, we would have been robbed.||||For balance, I should state that the lady on the front desk did seem to be co-operating to call the the taxi on my request/s||||Oh, and it just got better when the taxi tried to scam RMB300 for a RMB60 fare - yet another moment of anxiety as I insisted on him turning the meter on.||||All in all, not the best travel experience and knowing what I know now, I would have made my own hotel arrangement and not left the airport ||||The Crowe Plaza were amazing, they took my call, communicated in English, spoke to the taxi driver, accompanied me at midnight to buy train tickets (we had no choice as our other daughter was arriving in Shanghai and we HAD to be there to meet her) organised a wake up call and had take out breakfast and a taxi waiting on check out. A professional outfit worth every cent for certainty and sanity

西安沪滨国际酒店||||我们乘坐的中国东方航空公司飞往上海的航班被取消了。航空公司安排我们入住这家酒店。这是一家典型的中国酒店，按西方标准连一星级都达不到。每晚房价约30美元。||||我们一行三人（两位家长和一个孩子），酒店不允许我们住同一间房。||||我们的糟糕体验始于一个骗子试图通过手机翻译器帮我们翻译，以此博取我们的信任。她冒充飞机上的乘客，我们几乎可以肯定她不是！||||我们很快发现她和另一个男人是一伙的（他坐在座位上，两人一直有眼神交流）。我妻子戴着首饰，我们是少数几个西方人，感觉很不自在。||||这时，另一个中国女人走过来，提出要和我妻子合住一间房。 （不确定这是否是骗局的一部分，或者只是另一位感到脆弱的乘客）||||我们请酒店帮忙叫出租车（我们计划返回西安市区）到皇冠假日酒店，结果骗子在我们到达后把出租车打发走了，还试图说服我们留在酒店。||||经过一番紧张的周旋，我们好不容易叫到了另一辆出租车，却发现她还在试图取消我们的订单。||||她似乎很信任酒店保安，我们不得不非常强硬地脱身。||||我个人认为她是个职业骗子，如果我们去了房间，肯定会被抢劫。||||为了平衡一下，我应该说明一下，前台的那位女士似乎很配合地帮我叫了出租车。||||更糟糕的是，出租车司机竟然想用60元的车费骗取300元——我坚持让他打表，又是一阵焦虑。总的来说，这次旅行体验并不理想。如果早知道会是这样，我会自己安排酒店，根本不会离开机场。克罗广场酒店（Crowe Plaza）的服务真是太棒了！他们接了我的电话，用英语沟通，帮我联系了出租车司机，甚至在午夜陪我去买火车票（因为我们另一个女儿要到上海，我们必须去接她，所以别无选择）。他们还安排了叫醒服务，准备了外带早餐，退房时还安排了出租车。如此专业的服务，绝对物超所值，让人安心又安心。
