金阳国际饭店

It was a great hotel. I liked the Chinese style and super comfy bed. They had English movies as well on the TV. The room was so spacious especially the bathroom. They even had a bathtub! Enjoyed my stay here, would definitely book it again.

这是一家很棒的酒店。我喜欢中国风格和超级舒适的床。他们的电视上也播放英语电影。房间很宽敞，尤其是浴室。他们甚至还有浴缸！我在这里过得很愉快，肯定会再次预订。

We stayed in this hotel in 2 different rooms for 2 nights. The first time we got a room with the whole wall being painted. It was bright but a bit too bright to my taste. The duvet cover had 2 big holes in it but the bed clothes felt clean. The AC worked fine. Since we only needed to sleep in this hotel, it was perfect for us: not too expensive and with great location. It is one minute away from a metro station, very close to a nice restaurant we really enjoyed. The second time we booked it the room was even better: pale yellow painted walls work a lot better I think. Be prepared that you will hear a lot of hotel noise because the walls are quite thin and there are no windows in the room we chose but we knew that from the very beginning. You will like this hotel if you are not too picky and just need a clean and not expensive place to stay.

The hotel staff was friendly, but there were some serious problems. To begin with, I got half my money returned to me after I checked in and was told that I have to pay the full price again. I was then told that the next day I would get the rest of the money returned. That did not happen. The next day I asked about it, and after about 20 minutes talking to the manager, I was told that they would call my room later. About 30 minutes after that, they called and said that it would be returned that night. As of writing this, I have checked out and am still waiting. I seriously wonder if someone at the hotel is trying to scam people. On top of all this, both nights I stayed at the hotel, the lights stopped working. The first night I asked and they said that there was an electrical short. Both times, the lights did not work until about 9am.

The bedrooms in this hotel are clean and comfortable though the decor is rather dark and dated and furniture old fashioned and the lighting switches very confusing. (They are, however, in a strange racetrack-like arrangement on each floor, with the numbering not always in sequence and no indication from the single elevator which way round to proceed: coupled with deeply carpeted halls, that means moving luggage can be difficult and long!) The bathrooms include a drinking water tap. Our reception was efficient and friendly. ||The real problem comes at breakfast -another long walk, though padlocked till opening times, to get to the breakfast room, which is too small with spillover into a banqueting hall. The buffet is laid out in a cramped corner which doesn’t cope with the numbers of guests trying to get at the rather limited selection.

The location of the hotel is great, easy accessible to food and stores. The room is newly renovated, good sound proof too.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Group Tour package through China.||A big room but very little hanging space for clothes. Excellent lighting, very slow wi-fi and air con that did not go below 21.5 degrees C which is common for most centrally controlled air cons in China. Too hot to sleep with doona in sheet, so you take the doona out and use the double sheet for cover.||Hotel is very close to a supermarket, bed firm but comfortable and breakfast basic Chinese but no hard boiled eggs!!!

Just 5 min to talk to the Zhangye west bus station which you can get bus tickets to get the Grand Canyon, National Park and Temple. Most of the buses leave there from 8-9am so you better to check out one day before or get there around 8am. (Don’t ask people at this hotel, they tell you time but information is incorrect) well, looks like time changes often due to less tourists. Hotel was not bad, mattress wasn’t hard. I would stay there again cause not bad place and close to the bus station.

My girlfriend and I took a weekend trip to Zhangye from Shanghai in order to see the famous Danxia Landform there. We booked through a travel agent who told us this hotel is apparently the best in Zhangye. It was a fine stay in a clean room. The rooms are quite spacious as well. The bathrooms were very nice and clean.||We had dinner at the restaurant and found the food not to be that great. I would say if you stay here, save your money and eat at one of the fabulous local restaurants instead for a cheaper price. We had Lanzhou noodles in a small street side restaurant and found those to be much tastier than what we experienced in the hotel.||The best thing about this hotel was probably the lobby, where there is a large and beautiful painting of the Danxia Landform. It is quite stunning. ||Can't complain, because I feel like this probably is the best you can get in Zhangye.

我和女朋友周末从上海来到张掖，就是为了看看那里著名的丹霞地貌。我们通过旅行社预订的，旅行社告诉我们这家酒店显然是张掖最好的酒店。在干净的房间里住得很愉快。房间也很宽敞。浴室非常漂亮和干净。||我们在餐厅吃了晚餐，发现食物不是那么好。我想说，如果你住在这里，可以省点钱，去当地一家很棒的餐厅吃饭，价格更便宜。我们在街边的一个小餐馆吃了兰州拉面，发现那些比我们在酒店吃的好吃多了。||这家酒店最好的地方可能是大堂，那里有一幅巨大而美丽的丹霞地貌画。这是相当惊人的。 ||不能抱怨，因为我觉得这可能是在张掖能得到的最好的。
