Enjoyed 3 nights in this lovely hotel. The rooms are so spacious and so comfortable in every way. There are huge windows and plenty of natural light. The bathroom is well designed with separate toilet. Good wifi. The availablity of oxygen in our room, with speedy service to assist you is an added advantage if you experience altitude sickness. Excellent choice at breakfast. Would definitely stay here again and next time would specifically ask for a room on a non smoking floor as our floor smelt very smoky.

Don't expect your usual 5-star int'l hotel standard here but this is as good as it gets in a decent local hotel in Lhasa Tibet. We stayed here for about 4 nights during our 12 day private tour in Tibet. The room is spacious, tidy with all the essentials you need while travelling, especially the hot water kettle was priceless. Yes, the shower door couldn't be close tightly in many of the rooms, so half of your bathroom floor would be flooded, the hair dryer stopped automatically if you turned it on max for 2 mins. Breakfast choices were good with mostly Chinese dishes, they do serve eggs cooked as requested. Just don't try the coffee. If you need any help in your room, staff arrived quite timely. Honestly, the hotel is probably a 3.5 to 4 star, but in Lhasa, it's already a delight for us.

For Lhasa I would say this was a pretty good hotel. I was expecting MUSH worse! The room was pretty clean, it is a good location, and had a decent restaurant.||||I was here during low season, here are some tips to help with your stay:||||1. The staff has "limited" english abilities. Don't expect much in regards to this. Try to get your guide to write a few sayings or questions down so you can use that to communicate with them.||||2. GET A Humidifier. They have humidifiers available. This will significantly improve your sleep and comfort in the hotel room. We didn't find this out until the last night...||||3. If your hall light keeps coming on in the night and it bothers you (like it did with me) cover the motion sensor with a piece of paper. This will prevent the light from coming on every time you go to the bathroom.||||Last tip about this hotel, is that the dining is actually pretty good. The pizza in particular was quite good. The flour they use in Lhasa results in really fluffy and delicious breads. This was part of the reason it was so good. ||||Breakfast was also ok, the only negative was the local tourists who would taste test each item at the buffet with their chop sticks and then move on to the next dish.

Lhasa Hotel, also known as kai yuan lhasa hotel, is one of the first hotels built in Lhasa. It is quite large, but it can get crowded during the peak summer seasons. ||||The main halls are pretty grand, but the halls are often filled with cigarette smoke. (Something common to all Chinese hotels)||||The rooms are pretty good, but the room we had lacked a barrier for the shower, so when you shower, the water gets everywhere in the bathroom. ||||There is breakfast, which is a mix of chinese and western breakfast. It's pretty good for a chinese breakfast, but don't expect anything other than bread an butter for the western side of things (pretty sure the cinnamon bun was a show piece as it was harder than rock)||||There is free wifi. The staff doesn't speak english, but they do speak Mandarin, Tibetan, and Sichuan dialect. ||||I was here in the off season so the hotel felt quite empty. It was quiet though, which is nice.

On a small group tour this hotel was the let down of the trip. A lot of us suffered from altitude sickness and the extremely hard beds made it so much worse, as did the smoke in the halls and public areas. The pool has no water and meals are not readily available, unless you want a large buffet. Stafff don't speak English and communication is an issue. Breakfast was in a massive overcrowded room and was fairly ordinary. Loved Lhasa, but not this hotel.

We stayed twice at this hotel in April 2014. We stayed in the new wing and the rooms were great. Roomy, comfortable and everything works. Great four Tibet. The down side is if you are an English speaker don't expect anything other than a great room. Outside of breakfast there was little food on offer. Most of the hotel was closed. Almost no one spoke English so asking for help, for example a taxi, forget it. A map was out of the question. We had one good experience with the staff when a manager helped us get a taxi. Better to pay the extra and stay at the Shangri la which we ate and the service was great.

非常一般的五星级酒店，号称习大大住过的宾馆，房间内的卫生条件还可以，但是因为淡季的关系，酒店内很多灯都关闭了、给人一种诡异的感觉。房内有氧气袋供应，开始几天高原反应严重的时候用了一下。床不是特别舒服因此连着几天没睡好。价格不算便宜吧，还是建议加点钱住国际连锁的五星酒店，毕竟高反的几天需要休息的好一点。

刚到拉萨就住了这个酒店，大堂还算不错，喜欢墙上富有西藏民族特色的挂画。在服务台的后面有个餐厅，景致好像还不错，可惜黑灯瞎火的也没能看清楚。房间设施一般般，跟其它市省会差不多最多四星级的标准。后半夜被临街马路上莫名的吵骂声惊醒。。。
