The staff of St Regis were so helpful and accommodating to our request. They also checked to see if we needed anything else. I want to give a special thank you to Buddha, who was so attentive and helpful. The hotel amenities were great and the rooms were large and spacious. I wish I more time to stay at the St Regis and would definitely recommend a stay here.

I think this was the best place we could have chosen in Lhasa, and am very glad we chose to stay there for the 4 nights we visited Lhasa. Our primary reason for choosing this hotel was the non-smoking policy, and I am delighted to say that we never saw nor smelled any cigarette smoke on the property while we were there. It was a relief, as a lot of the visitors to Lhasa do happen to smoke, and we really wanted to avoid that. There ended up being many other great reasons to stay at this hotel. It turned out to be the perfect location, for one. Unlike some of the other higher-end hotels in Lhasa, The St Regis is located within an easy walking distance (15 minutes or so) to the famed Barkhor Street shopping area, after you pass through the Muslim quarter. So in the evenings, after our guide and driver had dropped us off back at the hotel, it was nice to go out and explore a little on our own. ||They upgraded our room due to our Marriott member status, which was a nice surprise. The room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and even had a view. It also had supplemental oxygen which we elected not to use, but it was nice to know we had it in case we needed it. Another thing they have at this marvelous resort is a 24/7 clinic where you can see a doctor. He likely sees people for altitude sickness, most of all. I had a terrible migraine one night, and had run out of my prescription medication for the migraine. I went to see the doctor early the next morning, and he was extremely helpful! He tested my blood oxygen (just in case), then dispensed some medication that cleared my head within less than an hour. He claimed that my problem was more due to altitude than an actual migraine, which may have been the case, as the symptoms can be similar. Whatever it was that he gave me, it was completely effective, and I was truly grateful for his help. The visit itself didn’t cost anything, and the medication was very reasonably priced. That in itself made the hotel invaluable. |Further, the breakfast was excellent, which an abundance of choices. One morning when we had an early departure time, the staff offered to give us take-away containers to bring some food with us for the journey, which we really appreciated. The coffee was good, as were all the various dishes. We ended up eating dinner at the hotel a couple of times as well, mainly for convenience. But it turned out to be very good food, as well. Service overall at the hotel is excellent. We didn’t have the chance to try the swimming pool or other facilities, as we were too busy touring the area. But it was always a calm and relaxing place to come back to at the end of each day.|I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re planning a trip to Lhasa!

此次入住整体体验非常满意！床铺整理规整有序，地面洁净，卫生间洁具洁净，气息宜人。房间的每一处细节都能看出卫生标准的严格把控。服务方面更是可圈可点。当我们携孩子办理入住时，酒店可以提供儿童洗漱用品，前台工作人员热情友善，客房服务响应迅速。期待下次入住！

The Marriot Group never disappoint. There was an initial hiccups when checking in but was resolved quickly. Staff are generally friendly and professional, reservation for spa and restaurants is seamless and fast.  ||Room is clean and comfy with comprehensive amenities. Love the space and the view from my room. Of course, the key difference is that everything else in the room is clearly priced and charged, lacking that touch vs some of the boutique local hotels. Well.. not a big deal for me though. A good view from the lounge showcasing the night and full view of Potala Palace. ||Good spread of breakfast with a good mix of international options. This is a + point vs some of the local hotels that serves mainly chinese food. ||The only slight disappointment is that the food served at Yan Ting Tibet is not as fantastic vs that served in Singapore. But nonetheless, a pretty good experience.

We spent a 10 days trip to Tibet first time in our lives. Very excited, we were given choices to choose between St. Regis vs. Shangri la in Lhasa. After reading many reviews, we picked this place. We spent total of 5 nights here; the service is decent. They did give us room upgrades for being returned customers during the 10 days spent. We speak mandarin too and i think it goes a long way in communications. The front desk staff, bellman and others are all friendly. Morning breakfast buffet service is lacking. Out tour stars very early and their breakfast starts at 630am. There is essentially no waitress inside to service you for anything. There was one and she was sent by the supervisor of the restaurant to do something else. So, i went to grab coffee myself and the supervisor just stares at me. She identified herself that she is also a waitress but did not offer any help. I thought she was just having a bad day. |Unfortunately, we met this lady again and her name is Lucy. A couple morning later, we were crunch for time and she offered no service. I had to go out all the way outside the restaurant desk to request orders for my families. I received very poor attitude with her. Not sure if she really works there, in a 5 stars hotel, in the service industry, her attitude was very nasty. She ended up going into the kitchen and hola another young lady to serve us.|Based on reading reviews on here, doesn't look like management really cares. I hope they provide better training to their staff. Perhaps, just do your job and get rid of your attitude. Have not encountered someone like her in a long time.

Although it is a 5-star rated hotel, it didn’t have the feel of a 5-star. Carpeted floors and dark wooden interiors, dim lights and bad air conditioning didn’t make our 4 nights’ stay comfortable and relaxing. ||It’s was a struggle actually. There’s an ongoing construction also at the entrance of the hotel. Barkhor Street is a bit of a distance even if walkable. Raining and cold in the morning but sunny and hot starting 11am til night time. ||We didn’t enjoy our stay. Overrated rating. Would have opted for an another 5-star since we booked a private tour so transportation can be easy.

When you visit the “roof of the world” where you risk serious altitude sickness, you want to be taken good care of. St. Regis Lhasa Resort certainly takes good care of their guests. When we arrived, the hotel upgraded our room to a junior suite. The room was extremely spacious with luxurious amenities (separate sitting and living areas, double vanities, separate shower and batch tube, and an oxygen generator), although the facilities seemed a bit old with slightly uneven floors under thick carpet. The breakfast buffet doesn’t have as many choices as some other hotels where we stayed in China, but the guests can also order elegant and sumptuous dishes from the kitchen at no extra cost to supplement the buffet. The best of all is that the hotel has a medical clinic with a doctor available 24 hours a day. My companion developed a severe headache (presumably due to altitude sickness) on the 4th day of our trip, and the doctor provided a cocktail of pills that were mysteriously effective in getting rid of their headache. Unless some new high-quality hotel emerge, we will for sure stay at this hotel again if we get a chance to pay another visit to Lhasa.

An excellent hotel in Lhasa. Located close to major site seeing spots around the city but still quiet and secluded enough for a relaxing stay (the hotel area is huge for Tibet!). Was welcomed with traditional ******* decor with efficient and pleasant service from all hotel staff. The room is big, clean and equipped with a humidifier, oxygen concentrator and a Dyson hairdryer. The breakfast buffet was pleasant with a small-sized a la carte dish for all guests to order from a menu. Food was decent with a mix of western, Chinese and Tibetian options
