Vythiri Resort Wayanad

Let me start first by stating that the location, the atmosphere and the serenity of the resort is amazing, situated in lush green forest filled with soft mellow chirpings of birds and calming white noise of running stream flowing through the resort over which a well maintained steel re-inforced rope bridge is made. ||However the management of such a well deserving resort is not upto par.|To explain myself this review might be a little long read, so read if you are interested.||The staff, whom we meet, they try to do their best but a level of training seems to be missing, when we are paying 30,000 to 40,000 per room night it is not wrong to expect a bit more attention, not to be pampered let me be clear only just a bit attention to simple details.||We stayed in their honeymoon pool villa (i believe) which was cottage 203 for two nights.||First let me state what went right.|The rooms first appearance was good.|The temprature controlled pool was kept at just the right temprature around 30 degrees celcius.|The linen was clean and tidy.|Room was well cleaned and there was no foul smell.|Water refill was done on the same day with proper day of refill marked with stickers.|We were greeted with a welcome drink even though we arrived late at night.|We were told that there is provision for bonfire in our room near the pool once a day which we declined for the day and asked to be done next day.|Also clear Information was passed on to us about monkeys at the property and not to carry food in hand as it will attract them and will cause trouble, along with that to always ensure to keep all doors locked for similar reason. "There where many monkeys which we saw that too of multiple origin. So do be careful but do not be scared as they mostly mind their own business."|To be highlighted the resturant staff are very well trained and hospitable giving you top notch service and the quality of food is also well maintained. The rotis/Indian breads are really nice and so are the desert. |The restaurant also hosted a live music event which we got to experience and enjoy while having dinner. The guest enjoyed making song requests to the artist and he heartily complied to their satisfaction. Once again the highlight of the hotels personal touch was given by the resturant staffs who did a very great job.|We had requested laundry service which was done not on well but in prompt time with efficiency and also at very reasonable charges.|||Now about the negetive.|I am attaching images along as well to showcase what I am writing is not incorrect.||At the entrance there was just one security guard to welcome us and had to wait for someone to call help for our luggage.(We are travelling with a kid and hence a bit more luggage than we can carry ourself, 4bags to be precise). However when we where checking out there where many hands present to load out bags into the car as that's when tips are handed over. (This is very common occurrence so not to suprising and it's reasonably excepted)||The toiletries provided in our 30k-40k|Room night cottage was one good soap, one not so good shampoo and one decent moisturizer.|No dental kit, no comb, no shaving kit, no conditioner and no shower cap. Even with a pool there was no bathrobe attached at such high cost cottage. After calling the reception we where sent a comb and a dental kit.||The bathroom door was making such horrific noise that in the middle of the night it can give you a heart attack.||Broken toilet roll holder and half used toilet rolls.||Toilets pot is positioned so high that sitting on the pot is not comfortable for a man of 5"8 height and can leave your leg numb if you sit for a while longer. Shouldn't be a problem for someone of 5"10 and above.||The in room mini bar had 4-5 things (non alcoholic) of approx 20rs each which was also chargeable in this category room. At check-out the room boy surely comes to check the mini bar and says all okay however forgets to remind us of our drinks we where forgetting to take with us.||As asked the day of check-in that we will be taking the bonfire in room the next day but nobody was sent to our room for this.||Pool water was a bit murky and wasn't changed in a while.||Only place newspaper's are available are at the reception lounge and not allowed to be taken to your rooms.||Hot water was surprisingly not available at night around 1am when I went for shower however it was there till 11pm when had last used the washroom.||Inspite of having such a beautiful resort, naturally well bestowed with nature's beauty they could have somebody guide us through the estate in a personal manner to enhance the perception of us as guests and create deeper connection instead of somebody showing us to our room and verbally informing us where the resturant is.||The buffet can help with a little bit of|Addition of more options in continental and Italian dishes area. Indian and south indian items where available and they where quite decent. No complaint about resturant service or the quality of the food just more options would have been better.||Well that's all from my experience of Vyatri resort. 2nights stay December, 2024.

The staff was very polite, soft spoken. The pools were the wonderful and even the play area was so amazing. Overall enjoyed the trip throughly. The food was very tasty and healthy. There was alot of cleanliness and could connect with nature more closely.

Amazing property. Right in the Jungle. Excellent hospitality by the staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Waterfall within the property is the main highlight. Truely a memorable experience. All the three course meals are amazing. Specially loved the herbal tea.

Awesome service and great rooms. Staff specially at the restaurants are very cool. They took care of my child when we were eating. The quality of food was awesome.||Rooms only problem was wet most of the tme and was slippery due to mist. Felt risky||Secondly I was here for my son's second birthday celebration. I requested them for allowing my cousin and wife to enter resort for half an hour for cake cutting which they declined. They were staying in nearby resort. So we had to go to my cousins resort where they allowed us to do the cake cutting.

My stay at Vythiri Resort in Wayanad was nothing short of exceptional. The resort was just awesome… its like we are breathing, living with nature. Not just the location but the food was soo yum and nutritious. The staff were so friendly and helpful more like a family. Happy to be a part of this beautiful resort…..

Great resort with a beautiful environment and excellent location. The pool is clean, maintenance is top-notch, and the food offers a wide variety of delicious options. Housekeeping is efficient, and the staff is incredibly helpful and caring. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay!
