NillThe homestay location is good but it's not a beachfront property. It took just 6-7 mins for me to walk and reach the cliff via a narrow walkway. However, I didn't find it safe for night as the walkway has no light. I was ignoring every poor service here but the moment I saw unknown men in the caretaker's room at midnight, I said a big NO to this place. Luckily I had checkout the next morning. This is shocking that the caretaker is inviting his male friends for a night stay. Not a safe option for WOMEN.

NillI recently stayed at a hotel where the standout feature was undoubtedly the care and attention provided by Umer, the caretaker. From the moment I arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Whether it was providing insider tips on local attractions or promptly addressing any concerns, Umer's dedication to guest satisfaction was truly remarkable. His friendly demeanor and willingness to assist made me feel valued as a guest. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, but it was Umer's exceptional service that truly made my stay memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a welcoming atmosphere and top-notch customer care.

NillThe worst thing that happened to me was in Varkala. No one warned me that the hotel doors are closing at nights so when I returned from dinner with friends I had to sit under the closed door. Am I in jail? (I am crazy angry about it, because NOBODY told me that rule) The hotel owner spoke to me very rudely when I said that I wanted to get my money back and change the hotel. To my request, he said that it was not his problem. The boy at the reception did nothing but ask for payment, even after I said that I would not stay for the entire time I planned before. The rooms look nice at first glance, then you discover that everything is broken, dirty, and stinks. I don’t advise anyone to stay here, save your nerves.

NillBeautiful and cozy property just 2 min walk away from the cliff beach... This place is more like a homestay than a hotel. The staff there is very polite and helpful.. He didn't hesitate to go outside and get us food or beverages and also helped us in making cab bookings. Highly recommended place.

NillThis homestay is sub standard with zero maintenance and just one staff member who is very arrogant and non-cooperative. Most of the time he was not available on the premises, and he had his friends visiting and staying at night which I personally felt was unsafe for guests. There is nothing like a resort or hotel here. They didn't even give me water or a blanket. My wife had to ask for it multiple times. This homestay needs a huge makeover. The owner must give it a thought. I hated my stay here. I will not recommend it to female/family/solo travellers.

NillThis is NOT a beach resort or nearby beach property. This is a very old building and purely unmanaged. I stayed here last night and I must say this property has severe safety and security concerns. Very risky property. The homestay didn't even provide basic necessities like water, blankets, toiletries etc. They don't have a kitchen as well and there is nothing nearby to eat. Not at all worth for even 1000 rupees. They have the worst caretaker. A very rude guy with no basic manner to talk to a guest. Very stinky rooms, no daily cleaning services. I was shocked to see how a foreign guest had to beg for room cleaning. People like him spoil the county image. The caretaker asked for extra money at the time of check-in for no reason.

NillI spent 2 days here and regretted completely every minute. There was no option to cancel so I had to go with it as they charged 4X from us. About Property:- The property name is cunning. This is neither a resort nor a beach property. This is just a very very old homestay with no proper AC, walls, door locks, bathroom, power backup and basic facilities. This is on ground floor and with no proper fencing and boundary walls. Anyone one can walk to your bedroom anytime. I felt very very insecure for my family. Pricing:- One of the over-priced property in Varkala. We paid 4.5K per night and I felt it is not at all worth for this price. This doesn't deserve to be more than 1000. About my stay and rooms: No service at all. They don't even provide basic stuff like water. I had to ask for everything like blanket, soaps, water etc. Bedsheet and pillow were dirty and smelling like rotten. It seems they had not changed for weeks. The AC was not working and room had lot of flies and mosquito. About owner and caretaker:- I couldn't see owner there. The was one caretaker guy who started asking for money as soon we reached. He stays there in a room and calls his friends at night. I could see 2 men at night there. He is very rude and didn't even provide us anything. He just gave us room keys and asked us to leave before checkout time. Overall it was a hell experience. Out of all my Varkala trips till date, this was the worst. Everytime I was just waiting for my trip to end so that I can go back home safely. I was scared to stay here.
