We loved our night stay here. The facility is new and very nice! The staff is welcoming and very attentive. South Indian breakfast was delicious. We experienced the canoeing 🛶 in the backwaters at sunset , even if it was a cloudy day- we loved it!! Highly recommended

Hidden gem! Great service. All staff are very welcoming and accommodating. We did the canoe ride with Balan in the evening and kayak on our own at sunrise. Gutted we didn't stay longer. We enjoyed the kayaking.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kalloos Island Backwater Resort, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The place is truly awesome, offering a serene and picturesque environment perfect for relaxation. The resort is currently expanding with separate villas featuring private swimming pools, and I am certain it will be even more incredible once the construction is completed. Even now, the property has a lot to offer. One of the highlights of my stay was the evening boating trip arranged by the resort. It was an exciting and memorable experience navigating through the mangrove forest. Special thanks to Balan Chettan, our boat driver, who made the journey even more enjoyable with his local knowledge and friendly demeanor. The resort also takes great care in preparing food to match individual preferences. The meals, made fresh at their in-house kitchen, were delicious and added a personal touch to our stay. Overall, Kalloos Island Backwater Resort is a gem for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility. I can’t wait to visit again once the new villas are ready! Highly recommended!

Overall it was a good experience to be at this place. The premises of the stay is well maintained, the lawn provides a great ambience. Need improvement on mosquito management, bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan which was an inconvenience. Really enjoyed the boating through the canals and mangrove forest. Approach roads to the stay is very badly maintained. Not sure why the local authorities is so careless about a tourist destination like this. Liked the service provided by the staff.

Positives Clean room, comfortable bed. Fan in the room. Evening with good. Staff from the kitchen very friendly. Manager helped with advising on onward travel. Negatives. No hot water Dangerous stairs upto rooftop restaurant. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or knee problems. Large gap between bedroom door and floor. Concerned as vermin could easily crawl under. Old A/C unit which leaked on our 2nd night. English breakfast , make sure you preorder, we didn't. Advise We personally wouldn't book with the hotel the backwaters to the lake tour. Only costs 10000r but you get the basic journey, no commentary. We wished we had paid more and booked a proper tour. Maralayam Hotel (900m walk) with attached locals bar is a must, large Summary. Good price.near train station. Comfortable rooms. Make sure if you stay you get the room that doesnt have the open air door.

Our stay at Kalloos resort was incredible and comfortable . Sivan sir, the manager is really good host. He managed everything for us on time and without any problems. The home cooked food has been very delicious. The staff is absolutely helpful and arrange almost everything for you. One can get on the canoe from the resort itself. They also provided bicycles to us. Highly recommended.

The infrastructure is awesome. Getting there especially in the nights is nothing short of an adventure. Google coordinates definitely need a helping hand from local humans to say the least. Service wasn't availed of much, but seems to have scope for much improvement for sure.

The resort is great for relaxing, with fun boating and tasty food. The staff is helpful, and the rooms are clean. It's a nice place for a peaceful stay.
