Very budget friendly spot to have kerala cuisine especially sea food. Went there to have lunch with few friends(4 of us). Had a filling meal within 500 rupees. Not luxurious or anything just calm quite spot to have meal.

I opted for their canoeing service for 2 hours which costed ₹700. The views were breath taking and great hospitality shown by the person who drove the boat. After finishing the canoeing service we had the dinner in this property which was very tasty and inexpensive. The butter fish fried in the coconut oil is a must try. They served us authentic home cooked food which all of us in my family loved

We ate here when using the boating service on a day trip from Kollam. The lunch meal was absolutely superb. Fish curry, fried fish & prawns plus a selection of veg curries & thorans - all for R350 per person. Anyone criticising the food is basically posting a fake review, it’s the best we have had in Kerala in three visits. Can’t comment on the rooms but the hosts are really nice people.

A very calm and quiet place to stay. One side is a river and spending hours sitting on the banks listening to some music or without music is not at all a problem. Room is well maintained and cleaned. All necessary toiletries are available. Hospitality is really welcoming. They will provide a 2hr boating through the small streams to the Ashtamudi lake is one of the best and which cost you around 700rs for two.

We were a group of 28 people. We arranged for a sea food platter lunch with Kakka, Crab, Prawns and Karimeen. The food was delicious. They have a seating for about 16 people at a time. The property is located on the lake shore. They also provide boating service in Vallom ( Canoe). 6 people can get in one. The boating was superb.

Review on my experience😬 ,I booked for lake view room but that room was not provided by them, the rate in the booking.com site was 1563, they took 1728rupees, extra charge for water bottle, as per bottle 20 rupees was charged. Rate for using AIR conditioning WAS 500😬 rupees was charged for a night. Service was so bad, morning tea what we asked for was not provided, bathroom was not clean.. Totally a bad experience.. 😬😬😬😬

The traditional lunch of rice meals served with freshly prepared Karimeen fish and prawns were a bliss! It's economical and safe. Keep in mind that the location, Munroe Island, is not a fully developed tourist site, implying you can't expect 4-star facilities anywhere here. But relative to what is offered here, it was really nice and food's prepared at home right next to you. Haven't stayed over at their rooms, saving it for another review later.
