This restaurant and the Moonrackers are run by relatives. The recipe is the same at all these places. This place is spacious and has comfortable seating. They have valet parking. They can customise the menu accordingly to your taste.

We stayed here for two nights in December 2010, our first stop on a trip around Tamil Nadu. Our room was big and spotlessly clean, with a fan but no a/c. We ate a couple of meals in the restaurant downstairs and found it quite patchy in terms of food quality and service. The Moonraker across the road was a better bet, although they are owned by the same family.

continue review from below. the place tried to change billing to increase the price. they wanted 2000 idr for 2 fish plus french fries and rice. the fish was not fresh and had been boiled and a few seconds on the grill. 3 bites of rotten fish and after raising a stink they reduced the price but then tried to give change with currency that had been discontinued and changed the price of the drivers meal. place is a huge ripoff.

this is my second time in mamallapuram .. the owner is a very angry person and he beat is staff and is custamer and he is very rich guy. is brother is very big politicion so no problem what he want can do this place and food is very expensive same price like a five star hotel. and the staff cheat you becarefull and one guy i konw long time he is from kerala is brother send him to jail last time but now the same guy working like a slave thats i dont understand.

Prepare to get insulted by jerk of a waiter, who will tell you not to order grilled fish because its boiled and meant for "foreigners". If you insist he will get exasperated and finally tell you that its not available. Well then what about bhindi masala from the menu? You will be informed that they are famous for non-veg and that's not available either. Well, salvage any dignity left and walk out...

Went for lunch..same taste as Moonrackers on the opposite side of the road..no extra charges for a/c. Spaghetti and Jumbo Prawn masala is super mind blowing!! Was our 3rd time to this joint since it offers amazing sea food in Mahabalipuram..

spacious and spotlessly clean room, with tv, fan, terrace, clean bathroom, restaurant serves very good food. it's located in the thick of things and only a few steps to shops, restaurants....||you can even walk to all the sights within a couple of minutes, or take a rickshaw if you please.||excellent value
