Santosh residency home stay

I booked this hotel after seeing good room pictures, but the reality was completely different. The room they gave me was worse than expected – not at all like the photos, poorly maintained, and uncomfortable. The staff behavior was also unprofessional and not friendly. On top of that, the lift was not working, which caused a lot of inconvenience. Overall, a very disappointing experience and definitely not worth the price. ⭐ Rating: 1/5

Worst Hotel/Homestay I have ever seen. We booked 3 Deluxe A.C. rooms in Santosh Residency, Puri for 4 nights. We reached Puri at around 8.00 P.M and  had very bad experience at Santosh Residency. First of all no one came to receive us at the gate and Security Officer didn't permit us to enter in the premises without caretaker of Santosh Residency. We tried to call them but no one picked up the phone either. After around 30 minutes by chance the caretaker was passing through and fortunately we could enter in the club premises. Now the second story begins. Caretaker took us to block 6 , where all room were stinking badly,  linen were very dirty & T.V. was not working. After persuasion caretaker took us to block 10 and allotted us rooms there. These rooms were similar to previous rooms having stinking smell, dirty lined and again no T.V. and above all lift was not working properly. Anyways, we had to spent the night so on 24th morning we checked out from the Hotel. I forgot to mention the fooding part. The biggest joke was the breakfast offered by them. Some stuff wrapped in plastic was presented in our room in the name of Breakfast. I have attached a picture of the same. Never ever even think of Hotel Santosh Residency. It was really a nightmare.

When we reach therein gate i called Somany times nobody is respond ,narrow road,auto is charged morethan double rate,and not maintenence in old lift,room bathroom not so good, TV and ac is not working not worth for paid rate.

BEWARE !!!! Santosh Residency Puri they are No1FRAUD and CHEATER😕🤬😈 they have cheated my advance payment of rupees Rs.1000 did not refund back after cancellation.They are Not answering my Call. DO NEVER BOOK HOTEL ROOM, YOU WILL BE IN SERIOUS Trouble.

This hotel is worst hotel I have ever seen. service was very bad and lots of things the told laye to us. swimming pool is also chargeable I m very disappointed with this hotel.

Don’t prefer this if you are with family. Rooms are not up to the mark as per the price. Not at all maintained. Can see used shampoo packet tips in bathtub. Used liquor bottles are found in the cupboards. Rooms are not cleaned properly before handing over to next customer. Worst experience and higher prices

Review for Santosh Residency | Rooms in a Homestay (Booked via MakeMyTrip) I had an absolutely pathetic stay at Santosh Residency and feel completely scammed by the property owner in collaboration with MakeMyTrip. This property, listed on MMT, is far below acceptable standards. I booked the rooms for approximately ₹14,000 for two days (including taxes), expecting a decent experience, but it turned out to be a nightmare. Key Issues Faced: 1. Dirty Rooms: The floors were so filthy that walking barefoot was unthinkable. Walls were damp, and the entire room had a musty, unpleasant odor. 2. Broken Locks & Doors: The bathroom door had broken locks, and I scratched my hands multiple times trying to lock it. 3. Horrible Bathrooms: Bathrooms were full of fungus and mold, especially in the cabinets. The exhaust fan sparked, tripping the electricity, and the bathroom smelled like burning wires. The staff's solution? Removing the wiring. 4. Unfriendly and Unhelpful Staff: When I requested extra pillows and mosquito repellents, the staff rudely refused, providing only one Good Knight and one extra pillow. I had to buy my own mosquito repellent spray. 5. Horrendous Amenities: Mosquito Infestation: Both the room and bathroom were swarming with mosquitoes. Stinking Curtains & Untidy Cutleries: Curtains reeked and hadn’t been washed for ages. The cutleries provided (one glass, one plate, and one cup) were so dirty they were unusable. No Basic Facilities: An electric kettle was only provided upon request and taken from another unoccupied room. Substandard Toiletries: Two ₹1 Clinic Plus shampoos, two ₹3 Medimix soaps, and one dirty towel were provided. For a property charging this much, this was appalling. 6. No Housekeeping: On the second day, there was no room cleaning, no replacement of towels, or water bottles unless explicitly requested. Overall Experience: This was the worst stay I have ever experienced in a homestay or Airbnb. The photos listed on MMT are misleading, showing one clean room while the rest of the property is in shambles. Final Thoughts: I trusted MakeMyTrip to maintain a standard for the properties listed on its platform, but this experience has left me questioning the credibility of the platform. I would think a hundred times before booking through MMT again. This review is not just out of frustration but a genuine attempt to warn other tourists against falling for such scams. Santosh Residency is a prime example of misrepresentation and negligence by both the property owner and MMT. Avoid this property at all costs.
