Pros : Clean and spacious rooms. Good ambiance in and around the rooms. Friendly and helpful host. Yummy breakfast. Completely worth the money they are charging. Cons : Bit away from the city, will need your own vehicle to be comfortable. Caretaker was almost compelling to download app n pressing to put five star reviews in front of him. Parking is limited. Geyser was not working properly.

Rooms were well maintained. We went at evening and checked out at 12:30pm it costed 1500/-. There was no dustbin, towels provided. Since it's located 2.5km away from town, you will find the difficulty to get any transport facility. We had to walk literally 1.5km just to get auto and that too with our luggage.

Awesome experience staying at Alaka. Owner and car taker are very friendly,kind and helpful for all situations. Actually felt like i stayed at homely place. Very nicely constructed, all necessary things provided. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Very well recommended for travellers. Really near to all bus station and many tourist place.

Rooms are neat and clean. No problem for water. Location is not correct according to Google maps. It’s a home stay, so no food is available on demand. Complimentary breakfast quality is average. They don’t provide mineral drinking water instead they fill water in the dumped bottles and serve to guests. Not near to any bus stop or auto stand. The caretaker Vinoth is poor hospitality wise and is a cheater.

Expensive! Booked from Airbnb. There is no good view from balcony and it's not a single flat building it has around 5-7 apartments joined closely. You cannot listen to music in high volume, tourist in next room will complain. Overall nice stay but I took this apartment because it has kitchen. Surprisingly basic amenities like knife or salt were not available. However they had 1 pan, 3-4 plates, 2 glasses and we got the salt and butter after ordering it so not a big deal. Worst thing was we ordered coffee in both 2 days. First day it took around 2 hours to get the coffee and second day it never came and we had to check out around 10.30 am so we left without having it. 😂😂.

We were a group of 8 girls, we got a 3 bedroom with a common hall and bathroom attached to each room. The place is very secure and close to many site seeing spots. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The caretaker is available always if anything is needed. We face intermittent issue with the hot water supply.We had breakfast only on one day during our stay here, we were served appam and that was delicious. We ordered tea during our stay here for which we had to pay seperately but didn't ask for the price before ordering and the caretaker initially said 20rs per cup (not worthy) and during checkout asked for 25rs but we paid 20rs. So please enquire the prices before ordering. This place will be perfect for family getaway, we were a group of friends and even if we spoke and laughed together it was creating disturbance as it is located in a silent residential place location. Not recommended for group of friends, recommend for family stay.

Placed a bit far from the cacophony of the Madikeri town,a warm and hospitable place to stay for few days with your family and experience the beauty of Coorg. The sightseeing places are well accessible from here and the owner also offers you a trip to Mandalpatti(Western Ghats) which is one of the best visiting point in Coorg. Only problem is that the place is full of mosquitoes and the rooms are spacious but without cupboards or wardrobes to keep your belongings. Breakfast quality is good and lunch/dinner is available on ordering. Overall a good experience.
