NillI thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this homestay. The accommodation was comfortable, and what truly stood out was the delectable food they provided. Each meal was a delightful experience, showcasing the host's culinary expertise. The homely atmosphere combined with the tasty dishes made my stay memorable. Highly recommended for those seeking a cozy retreat with excellent food.

NillGiving 1star review as there is no facility to rate 0. Avoid this place. If this is the only option available to go, cancel the trip. Place maintenance is really bad. We stayed here for 3D/2N the rates are too high but the people maintaining the place don't even care if the guests are comfortable or not. They are only caring about the money. Even if you book 1month in advance nobody is there to take care of the below things. There are no towels available for the guests, the owner & the staff say that we had guests yesterday so no towels are available. There are coachroaches, ants & spiders roaming around in the stay. The door mats are also pretty old and dirty. The doors of each room had issues, day 1 one of us got stuck inside the room with door knob falling off. The bathroom door needs a stone, to keep it closed which is really bad. There is an old broken sofa placed in one corner in the hall, seeing that you will get a feeling that this stay is a dumping ground for all the things which are not needed. In the name of books there are old reader digests stacked...which reminds of a raddiwala. Also the water was an issue to us, the water was muddy till more than 1hr, we had to throw away 2-3 buckets to get fresh water and later there was no water in the flush tank. Really Poor Service. The surrounding of the stay is good though, but the stay is not comfortable and not even worth half the price they are charging. Attaching photos for reference.

NillA terrible experience at this homestay. We are based out of Bangalore and had booked this homestay for our long weekend family trip with senior family members. We faces a lot of issues at this homestay. 1. Duplicate locations have been listed on Google maps due to which we ended up going to the wrong location 2. Once we reached the homestay, we realised that the homestay was not well maintained at all. As soon as we reached, we were locked out of one of the rooms twice and ended up having to pick the lock to get in. 3. The furniture was very old and broken. A chair with a broken leg is kept for display in the living room. There is a very small table in the living room which is not enough even for two people, let alone 10 people. 4. The toilet seat in one of the bathrooms was broken 5. Another bathroom door couldn't be closed/locked, so we had to keep a stone to lock the door. 6. There were issues with bath water as it was very muddy and we had to throw away 2-3 buckets of water just to get clean bath water. 7. The caretakers managed to get our tea/coffee orders wrong almost every time On our second day the owners had come to visit the property where we clearly mentioned all these issues to them. Their response was they were unable to maintain the property and it was under care of housekeepers. We did not feel that the owners were even remotely interested in improving/maintaining the property in which case they should delist the property. Also, the owners are deleting less rated reviews posted by my family members which is a very sorry state of affairs.

NillDisappointing experience at Green Acres Homestay. We booked it for our Christmas holidays to spend with the whole family from 23-25th. The property is not maintained properly. Has ants crawling in the washrooms, no proper latches on the bathroom or even the room doors. We got locked in twice in a room, had to keep the door opened with a fork! The door mats were dirty, sofa leg was broken, toilet seat was broken, mirrors were dirty and flush was not working in the common bathroom. On top of that we got dirty water for bathing!! Even on informing about the number of guests two days ago, they didn't have the correct number of towels, basic bathroom accessories like soap laid out. Didn't get us the towels even after asking saying they were in the laundry. Dont get me started on the person giving tea/coffee and responsible for basic cleaning. He managed to get our orders wrong each time and didnt clean up one thing even after being reminded. If you are charging 50k upwards for a 2 day 2 night stay and giving this type of service, then you shouldn't be in the service industry. Never gonna recommend anyone about this homestay!!

NillCommendation to host: We had wonderful experience being at your Homestay. Thank you for the firewood biryani we were able to prepare with your Chef's support. Experience: A very good and understanding hostess. Nice and quiet location. Clean and Hygienic Rooms. Good and tasty foods. Nearby to Chikamangaluru town. Pet friendly. What to expect: Bonfire is available additional cost. Non-vegetarians with different meat options available but check before hand and will cost extra. If, required ask for 3 meals options. Lacking: Bedding is not comfortable to individuals sleeping style. Certain basic amenities in rooms missing like dustbins, Chairs not available in all rooms, exhaust fans in wash rooms.. Recommendations: 1. Added amenities like few simple sporting items like badminton racquets, cards, carrom board, chess would keep things interesting when guests don't go out and like too rest at the homestay. 2. Keeping information about places to visit and things to do in n around Chikamangaluru can add to ur hospitality. 3. Adding unique itenanary which involves guests, like cooking we enjoyed making outdoor firewood biryani something like this was fun for us. 4. Outside premises lighting.(A must) 5. DG Genset. 6. A mobile signal booster or provide Wifi.(This done at another Homestay a different host) 7. A Common Refrigerator for guests use. There is a lot of scope for improvements. Time will tell.

NillWe are just back from the stay, carrying with us a memorable experience which will remain with us forever. They are called super host, we say super duper host. Lady Mae, is a charming lady, very hospitable and accommodating, ever present ensuring all needs are taken care. Variety of delicious local food was served for meals in the spacious dining room. Kept warm, even at odd times that we had our food. Walk around the coffee plantation, put your legs up and breathe fresh air, enjoy the silence, watch star lit skies, see the fire flies in the bushes. Detox your mind and body. People who comes and stays here with Mae, comes back even if it is to say hello. We had one such guest dropping in, since they were passing Chikmagalur on their way to Bengaluru. They stayed here 2 years back.

NillAnna's place is a perfect getaway from hectic city life. A beautiful house amidst coffee plantation. Anna's mom, the hostess, is such a sweet lady and an amazing host! We had sumptuous food which included dishes that we had never eaten before, super tasty mangalorean cuisine! They have a fireplace which once lit up, provides the necessary warmth and makes one feel at home. We had our pet dog also with us a one and half year old Golden retriever. They were totally accommodative and made special arrangements for his food as per my choice. They have huge place where he could roam around freely and have a great time. All in all it was a relaxing and peaceful stay along with some lovely chats with Anna's mom. I would really recommend to visit their place. 😎

NillIf you are looking at a small break from the busy city like Bengaluru, this is a great place to stay for a couple of days. It's a vintage home which has seen generations and now open for public. They make amazing coffee and food is decent. Overall a pleasant experience. Don't miss picking up some filter coffee from any coffee works as you pass through the market place in Chikmagalur.
