Very very bad experience with this hotel. Disappointing Experience at Hill town Hotel - Unresolved Theft Incident I stayed at Hill town Hotel in Srinagar, Kashmir, and had a very disappointing experience. During my stay, a sum of ₹15,000 was stolen from my room. I immediately reported the incident to the hotel management and filed a complaint. However, despite several follow-ups, my issue remains unresolved. The staff did not seem to take my complaint seriously, It's very concerning that such an incident occurred in the hotel, and even more troubling that no action has been taken to resolve it. I expected better service and security, but unfortunately, I did not receive either. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying at this hotel to be cautious, as my experience was far from satisfactory.

Hotel Kashmir Hill Town is one of the oldest hotels in Srinagar. It captures the essence of this beautiful city in its true sense. You will find fantastic woodworks (which is the signature style of Srinagar) in the lobby. The passage in the first and second floor shows colourful patterns painted on the ply wood panels attached to the ceiling. The old furniture also reflect the flavour of this city. Don't come here if you are expecting a 5 star treatment. It's an affordable budget friendly hotel for middle class Indian tourists. The location is convenient, Dal Lake is at a walking distance. There is a large dining space attached to a kitchen. You can cook your own food. It is well suited for the Tour and Travel agencies who conduct tours with 30+ people. The staff are friendly, amicable and gentlemen. They'll help you through everything. You just have to ask them for particular things, such as water bottles, dust bin, extra pillow or blanket and they will provide everything. Overall, nice experience. Those who are planning a budget tour can seriously consider this hotel. You won't be disappointed.

Very very bad experience with this hotel. It’s a genuine suggestion to those who are looking for this hotel, don’t book this hotel even if they give free of cost . Rooms are very unclean. Smoking smell in the rooms Toilets are unclean flush was not working Staff was very arrogant and non cooperative

Pathetic condition for service,untidy rooms and toilet . Try another one. Old persons of management take advantage of their age and bluffing frequently.

Rooms are totally un clean, very bad smell inside the rooms, there is no locks for toilet doors in any of the doors where we booked 4 rooms. Bedspreads and pillow covers are not changed for more than a week I think. Not suitable to stay even they give it for for free stay.

Worst experience, help staff is not supporting, dirty water supply, no wifi facility. They are giving just excuses very day.

I'm giving 2 star for 2 things - Good food and good customer service from the management. However, I don't know how this hotel is getting 3 star rating. Their rooms and specially Bathrooms needs to be upgraded as per 2022 standards. They are charging prices as per 3 star hotel but rooms are old structured especially washrooms.

These are bluff people. Visited last week. Pathetic, I got vomiting feeling looking at bathroom. Room was very dusty. Old property where it's not worth for stay. Owners don't let ur handicapped old property make money bluffing people, one day it will fall , making u sink. Be careful.
