AnandMai Ghar - A Homestay in Gwalior

Had a wonderful stay at AnandMai Ghar in Gwalior. Super clean, spacious, and perfect for families or small groups. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the hosts were incredibly warm and helpful throughout. Location is peaceful, though train noise is occasional. A bit of a rough approach road, but once inside, it’s absolutely worth it.

This is THE place to stay if in Gwalior. A quiet, cosy homestay with three nos. lavish self contained suites on the first floor, complete with kitchen and a sitting area.The kitchen has a microwave, an induction cooker, a fridge and all utensils so that you can whip up your own meals. Tea and meals can be arranged on request. Also very impressed by the tastefully done up interiors. I was alloted the 'Garima' suite which can accomodate upto four persons and had an attached balcony. The homestay is just 2.5 kms from the Gwalior train station and 13 kms.from the airport. Transport can be arranged on request for local sightseeing , the major tourist spots are within a radius of 5.2 kms from the property. Highly highly recommended 👌 👍

The property is well kept, clean and spacious. The approach to property is pathetic. Dusty roads with railway track had train running every minute made it difficult for us to get proper rest. There was a small mouse in the property.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this homestay. The spacious rooms were exactly as shown in the pictures, and we were impressed by the beautiful indoor and outdoor areas that were tastefully designed with aesthetic touches and sustainable. The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were spotlessly clean and well-maintained, and our every need was taken care of by the warm and welcoming staff and hosts. We highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful retreat in the city!

All total the its a decent place with aesthetic & cozy rooms. You will feel like your sweet home only. So positive & pure. Greenery everywhere with lots of trees/plants inside & out. Clean & tidy as well. Its was a satisfactory stay, must visit. Remember to call the owner after confirming your booking online as this home stay has only 3 rooms named uma, vandana & garima which are mostly fully booked.

I recently had a very frustrating experience at this property. After receiving confirmation from Ms. Maitraiye a few weeks prior that the hotel was operational and that children were allowed, we arrived to find no one at the reception. After multiple calls to the provided number, we were denied our booking, despite having a confirmed reservation.||The management's unhelpfulness left us stranded and in a difficult situation. With a major cricket match in the city, all other hotels were fully booked and very expensive, forcing us to scramble for an alternative accommodation at the last minute. This was not only inconvenient but also added to our stress.||Additionally, I want to emphasize that this property is very unsafe for children and families. If a confirmed booking can be turned down at the last minute, it raises serious concerns about their reliability.||It’s clear that the hotel lacks professional management, and I feel compelled to take this matter to consumer court due to the trouble we faced. I would strongly advise potential guests to think twice before booking here, as my experience suggests they may not honor their commitments. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere!
