There are some hideaway gems that don't require stars to shine. Suramaya Homestay is one such jewel. I was planning a 2 night stay in Bhopal to visit the Tribal Museum situated close to the property. I wanted to stay close to the Upper Lake area and chanced upon this homestay. A rare 10 in Booking.com got my attention. The area seemed premium, and so I booked. Suraj Mishra, the manager of the Homestay, turned out to be a wonderful person. Tucked away from the noise, chaos and crowd, this quaint hideaway is a newly constructed haven for people looking for peace and quiet time. This Homestay with clean rooms, a lovely private balcony, great food, a 10 minute drive from the city center and 3 minute from the must-see museums and Upper Lake comes at a price point that makes your jaw drop and eyes light up! Met the owners and loved their company. A beautiful family who cohabit the same space without interfering in your life. And extremely helpful, to say the least. In the end, a big shout out to Suraj Mishra, who went out of his way to make our lives comfortable, arranging cars and autos and going out of his way, negotiating with the drivers to save our purse! This is what makes cities like Bhopal more special than the mechanical, clostrophobic life of the big metros. I would recommend Suramaya to all discerning travellers who are looking to stay in Bhopal that will make them feel rested and happy.

I had a wonderful stay. The property was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully maintained. The host was warm, welcoming and helpful. The rooms were cozy and well furnished. The property is located near to the Upper Lake which is a famous tourist place in Bhopal. Would recommend stay at this place if you want the hotel like facilities with a homely touch.

If you're looking for a central location in Bhopal without the eternal sound of cars horns; with a 7-15 minute drive to the city centre; and with a short (and safe) 2 minute walk to a scenic view of the upper lake you have found the place to be. We were greeted by the lovely family who runs the hotel with their staff, and have had lovely conversations about Bhopal, what to see, and our and their lives. The breakfast was nice and we were offered a great-tasting dinner at a fair price. 6/5 stars!

Suramya Homestay in Bhopal is a perfect blend of luxury and homely comfort. The rooms are spacious, beautifully maintained, and the suite with a terrace and bathtub feels truly premium. The location in Shyamla Hills is peaceful yet well-connected. A special word of appreciation for the owner, who is extremely warm, courteous, and goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bhopal!

Found this lovely homestay after a long research, and it exceeded all my expectations. Rooms were well lit and clean, bathroom was neat, but some smell was there which was cleared within minutes. Tried some snacks in the evening with tea, which I and my wife loved. The breakfast was tasty, especially the Poha, must try. This property is a beautiful house built in a posh area, with fabulous interiors, just in the close vicinity of many tourist places, like Upper Lake, Tribal Museum and Manav museum. Easy to locate and grab auto-cabs in the area. Would love to stay again...😊

This is 5 star rated property , bang on for everything , location, hospitality, hyegiene , breakfast , comfort, all services are top rated . We stayed for 2 nights after diwali . Completely enjoyed there breakfast must try aloo paratha. The beds are comfy, interior is best, the linen , furnishing , wardrobes are newly done and best. 100% recommended

Stayed in this homestay for 4 days. Located in a very peacefull environment, this homestay will give you a very nice warm feeling. The property is quite good, clean. The staff is also polite. Overall a very good experience. Recommended for sure!!
