The mana - Heritage stay _ Chengazhimattam Mana

We had a fantastic experience at the Mana Heritage Stay. The property is beautiful, with many nutmeg trees and two 300 year old heritage houses. There is also a swimming entrance into the Meenachil River for the brave (only partake if you can swim!). The rooms are air conditioned and there is a full self-catered kitchen setup, although our hosts also provide delicious vegetarian food. We shared a tea and some stories with the owners - they were delightful and very welcoming! We will certainly come back in the future.

we spent two nights here, and wish we'd spent weeks instead. even so, the stay was perfect. we spotted a monitor lizard and a mongoose, and oh-so-many fireflies at night. the walks along the river are calming too, especially at daybreak. we bathed in the river, and drank water from the well. life is simple here, and it makes us want to get away from bangalore as quickly as possible. most importantly, we enjoyed the food prepared by saraswathy. if you're eating vegetarian meals, please don't swiggy them the food here is made from items grown on the estate, and is light and nutritious. frankly, we will miss the food a lot once we go. thanks, to kuttan and the kind helper too.

Very good experience staying in Mana Heritage home...truly Heritage home with old time wooden doors and windows also lot of trees and river flowing on the backyard reminded me of my childhood native home in Kerala. The hosts saraswati chechi & her husband are very humble and approachable treated me like family. Enjoyed the delicious kerala home cooked meal. The rooms are clean and location is not very far from main Kottayam city. 5-7 mins walking distance to the main road where u get auto and buses. If you want to experience staying in traditional kerala home lifestyle this place is a grt choice.

It's a heritage stay so if you keep your expectations little low it will be a great stay for you. Rooms are a little small, but otherwise the location is serene and very peaceful. Located by a river, you can hear a lot of birds chirping and enjoy your time even feeding the fishes.

Such a wonderful experience. We stayed 4 nights and didn’t want to leave. We love peace and quiet and here, 5 minutes away from a main road you are hidden away in the middle of the countryside. Huge trees and vegetation make it so cool and the old house is unforgettable. We came to see a local temple festival and our hosts took us there and showed us around and treated us as family friends. Recommended to anyone who wants an authentic experience

I had the pleasure of staying here for two days, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. I felt so fortunate to be surrounded by raw nature, and the river was a delight to watch each morning. 😇💕

Awesome experience, built up 300 old house, truly authentic construction. Loved staying in this property... Surrounded by lush nutmeg trees. Lovely hospitality with homely food.. Bit hot in the night , otherwise memorable stay... Natural pool is good. Recommended for those who know swimming.. Room was good and ideal for small family, solo traveller...

Beautiful homestay... Those people who like nature can keep the beauty and fragrance of nature on their lap here... Location is very serene, peaceful and free of all noises of town. Highly recommended.. 👍👍👍
