建藏饭店

My group arrived at this hotel in Gyangze en route overland to the Everest Base Camp. The town is pretty rustic and basic so the hotels are not plentiful. I chose the hotel for location and value and was not disappointed. The rooms, although on the smaller side, were adequate and the beds were typically hard according to Chinese standards (I used the comforter and quilts to soften it). The bathoom has a western-style toilet and there was hot water. It appears that the twin rooms were closer to the front of the complex next tot he street, but except for some barking dogs in the middle of the night, the street was quiet. The breakfast at the restaurant was basic but adequate. Overall, I had a great experience with my group staying here and would not hesitate to stay here again. There is an internet cafe about a block away.

Gyangze is in itself is a long way from the Western cities one can become accustomed to and so I was really pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Its central, the rooms are clean and well-maintained (if a little dated). The beds were typically firm but warm and cozy at night, and there was plenty of hot water to enjoy a shower.||||In my experience, most hotels in Tibet outside of Lhasa are fairly basic and can be quite dated - its really important to bear this in mind so that the right expectations are set. That said, during my travels I was expecting much more basic accommodation so was really pleased and surprised by this hotel.

Yes, beds were hard and hallways/lobby were dark and deserted as per usual in our TIbet experience. But, things were cleaner than the norm (don't get me wrong, not truly clean), rooms were not smoky or smelly, had a cozy/cutely decorated bedroom for two, working toilet, shower, hot water, and heat. Hooray! Quiet, too. The first time in about a week we had a place where the pipes were not frozen and we could take a nice hot shower and got a decent night of sleep. Tea upstairs in the tea room was pleasant and warm. There is pretty much no choice for food around here (more rice with scallions) but you will be back to Lhasa soon.

Arriving from Lhasa on an overland trip to Kathmandu, we stayed in the Jianzang Hotel. It is conveniently located to walk to the Gyantse Fortress and within 20 min to the Khumbun Chörten & Monastry. The rooms were basic but clean (OK, the shower could have been in a better shape), hot water, hard beds, still we had a good sleep. Opposite of the Hotel a Chinese cook offers very decent food (Zhang's kitchen).

从拉萨乘陆路前往加德满都，我们住在建藏酒店。酒店位置便利，步行 20 分钟即可到达江孜古堡，20 分钟内即可到达昆本佛寺。房间很基本，但很干净（好吧，淋浴的形状可以更好），热水，硬床，但我们仍然睡得很好。酒店对面有一个中国厨师提供非常美味的食物（张的厨房）。

This is not the best place we stayed in in Tibet but it is not the worse place I've stayed in either. It is basic when it comes to facilities and the rooms were pretty cramped. Sheets not completely clean but if you are not too fussy it is not too bad. And also: don't forget this is Tibet and Gyantse is a small town. You cannot expect too much.||||Location is great, right in the middle of town (which is not big but anyway). There are some decent restaurants close by so you won't starve. Breakfast is served in the hotel. You choose from a meny and pay accordingly. Would I go back to Gyantse I would not mind to stay there again.

We stayed here for one night and found it to be quite good. The beds were very hard but we used the extra comforter under the sheet to help this. The room was quite clean and had a reasonable bathroom with hot water. The breakfast was boring, basically just bread and an egg. Our first room overlooked the street but we asked to change to one at the back, away from the noisy street. At least it didn't have the filthy carpets that are common in China, as there were hard timber floors.

This hotel is average. Located in the main street of Gyangze city, which is convenient. The room is quite small, but overall it's clean. The only problem we have is the water pressure, which is very low. I think this hotel is ok for a nite stay, other than that Shigatse has better options. Oh ya, other thing is the breakfast selection which is very limited (only eggs and some tibetan bread)

We stayed over for one night, two rooms. Room 1 was OK. This hotel has not had room updates since likely when it was built. We did have a new heater which was able to keep the room at 21c. There was no hot water so be prepared.||Room 2 had no heat. The plumbing clogged and so they used our facilities.|We did bring our sleeping bags and we used them. That helped. ||We were the only guests in the hotel.|
