The rooms are spacious and has all the requirements amenities. The buffet had great options. the lobby bar serveres drinks on the house between 6 and 8 pm. the dinner buffet and breakfast buffet was great. the gym is great. the bar on the top floor was underwhelming though. it did not have any open area and was too dark for my taste and was not busy. the rooms are not soundproof which was a concern for me. the television had few english shows and the tv speakers were terrible. the nearby mall , One mall has many food outlets. it is 30 mins away from the airport and 45 mins from the tourist spots such as the Gou lang island ferry and the pedestrian street or the South temple.

房间宽敞，配备了所有必需的设施。自助餐选择丰富。大堂酒吧在下午 6 点至 8 点之间免费供应饮品。自助晚餐和自助早餐很棒。健身房很棒。不过顶楼的酒吧就差强人意了。它没有任何开放区域，对我来说太暗了，而且也不热闹。房间不隔音，这让我很担心。电视上几乎没有英语节目，电视扬声器也很糟糕。附近有购物中心，One mall 有很多食品店。距离机场 30 分钟路程，距离 Gou lang 岛渡轮、步行街或南寺等旅游景点 45 分钟路程。

Greatest thx for Joanna & her impressive team to show how amazing W Xiamen is for the stay. My parents spend an unforgettable night here for their 50 anniversary wedding memorial. Not only enjoy the tasty & delicate Chinese dishes in MinYen(on 3rd floor) Restaurant ,but also experience almost every famous local food at Nine Restaurant (on 5th floor) for the breakfast. By the way, however the decoration & interior are so trendy in every details of the hotel,but still feel full of the hospitality & passion from every stuff. Just checked into the hotel for 10 minutes and the service have already left bad taste in our mouth. My sister whom is traveling alone with me is a psychiatrist and have appointments scheduled to see patients. We looked for the supposedly best hotel by Marriott in Xiamen to accommodate for that and as my family and I have been loyal customer of the brand. We thought the W hotel as one of the upscale in Xiamen would offer at very least a private conference room or office space for people who are travel internationally and need to have private meeting in other time zones. We were told that they have no such facilities, and we have to pay 4000RMB to rent a conference room. Which is ludicrous as any hotel by Marriott brand in the US, even the most basic and economical, would offer private work space. It is the most basic amenity for anyone who is traveling, I tried explain that to the front desk and their night shift manager, where I’m met with robot like service and lack of human understanding. It might be a cool looking hotel, but the service and amenities are not up to par for anyone who is conducting business internationally, unless you want to pay 4000RMB to use their conference room for 4 hours after already paying over 3000 for 2 nights stay and been gold status loyal customer of their brand.

入住酒店仅十分钟，服务就让我们非常失望。我妹妹是一位精神科医生，独自一人与我同行，她需要接诊病人。我们特意在厦门寻找万豪旗下最好的酒店，因为我和家人一直是万豪的忠实客户。我们以为厦门W酒店作为一家高档酒店，至少会为需要跨时区进行私人会议的国际旅客提供私人会议室或办公空间。然而，酒店却告知我们他们没有此类设施，租用会议室需要额外支付4000元人民币。这简直荒谬至极，因为在美国，任何一家万豪酒店，即使是最基础最经济的，都会提供私人办公空间。这对于任何旅行者来说都是最基本的便利设施。我曾向前台和夜班经理解释过这一点，但他们的服务态度如同机器人一般，缺乏同理心。这家酒店外观可能很酷，但对于任何进行国际商务活动的人来说，其服务和设施都不达标，除非你愿意在已经支付了 3000 多元人民币的两晚住宿费，并且还是该品牌的金牌忠实客户之后，再花 4000 元人民币使用他们的会议室 4 个小时。

We arrived at the hotel at 4 pm n was told by reception that the room is not available yet and has to wait. No time is given n didn't even have the courtesy of offering a glass of water or coffee. Really spoilt my day as my tour guide is waiting for us to visit Xiamen. Now all is delayed n we are standing around waiting for our room.

我们下午4点到达酒店，前台却说房间还没到，需要等。前台没有给出具体时间，甚至连一杯水或咖啡都没人提供。我的一天真是糟透了，因为我的导游还在等我们去厦门。现在一切都耽搁了，我们只能干等着房间。

Check in is 3pm. We came to check in at nearly 4pm. Tells us we need to wait till abt 4.20pm. It has been a long day for us . They said full house as we had travelled from far. Then shouldn’t they have made sure the previous occupants checked out earlier? Ridiculous for W Hotel standard. Horrible.

入住时间是下午3点。我们快4点才来办理入住，结果告诉我们要等到4点20分左右。这对我们来说是漫长的一天。他们说我们远道而来，所以客满。难道他们不应该确保之前的住客早点退房吗？以W酒店的标准来说，这简直荒谬。糟糕透了。
