Very good quality price ratio. Very good location.Very clean, and nice room. Friendly staff.The only negative thing is that there was no breakfast available (although trip.com said it was available). Not a big problem, you can eat everywhere in dunhuang

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it is great value for money and the room is comfortable. My only negative comment would be that as a non-smoker, the room was a bit smelly, but I left the window open for a day and it aired out nicely.Every single person working at the hotel were extremely kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and convenient. They even helped me to post some souvenirs back to my house that I couldn’t fit in my suitcase. I was travelling alone and it can be a bit intimidating to travel away from major cities with my less than conversational level of Chinese, but I was made to feel so welcome and I am very grateful for the amazing hospitality. The location is fantastic, walking distance to a lot of nice places to eat and the night market. There was a cheap and decent gym within 8 minutes walking of the hotel and nowhere was too far to go by taxi. For foreigners, I recommend taking the taxi to Doujiaduncun villagers committee to take your PCR test. It’s about 5 minutes by taxi and they can help deal with PCR tests for foreigners who don’t have access to the QR code. You must go back the next day to pick up the results. The people at the testing site are also very helpful.I loved my visit to Dunhuang so much, the landscape is incredible and the people here are so nice. I will definitely come back again!

Good location on Mingsha Lu. Received airport pickup, staff attentive and welcoming. The Night Market was steps down the street. Lots of little shops in the neighbourhood. Abundance of taxis for local and long distance travel.

鸣沙路位置好。接到机场接机，工作人员细心而热情。夜市就在街上几步之遥。附近有很多小商店。充足的出租车可供本地和长途旅行。

位置優！距離夜市或市場步行即可到達～房間不算很大，但浴室很大～雖然是老酒店設備，但一切都很完善～有機會會再入住。

Dunhuang hotel was very well located, in walking distance of the night market and many other shops. I was just a bit disappointed with the shower, which was very small. The pump bottles with shower gel, soap and shampoo was very difficult to use. The staff was very particular about health and safety, spraying us with disinfectant every time we entered the building!

This hotel is located right in the centre of town and is fantastic for walking just about anywhere. It looks like money has been spent updating the lobby however this didn’t extend to the rooms which are quite dated. Tea and coffee making is available in the room and Wifi was OK. The bathroom was clean and we had plenty of hot water for showers. The downside was the bed which was like lying on a concrete slab and I found it impossible to sleep. Breakfast was included in a restaurant a few door away. The selection was mostly local cuisine and not very well done. I’d prefer somewhere else if I was ever to return to Dunhuang.

This is the kind of hotel that feels like it was built in the 1970's but for a grand and wealthy clientele. ||||My experience may be unobjective as the hotel had lost track of my booking, had no regular rooms left, but then very kindly upgraded me to a suite. It was of massive proportions, as large as a decent sized flat in NYC or London. This was in the second building, over the road from the main building where breakfast is served.||||Breakfast actually was the main downer - don't bother, the food is very average, much better food to be had 5 mins away in the market area of town.||||There were a couple of staff we found who spoke English, but generally they were very keen to help, polite, great service in fact.||||Wifi was excellent, some of the best we had in China.||||Location is excellent - 5 mins walk from the market area which is a fun place to eat at in the evenings. Tonnes of restaurants with outdoor seating, and a main tourist drag but with musicians and street performers and all sorts going on. 15 mins walk away is the river, literally follow the main road straight until you get to it; a decent place to take a stroll and get away from it all.

Cigarette smoke has permeated the very soul of this hotel. No matter what is said in the description, this hotel does not have any non-smoking rooms. A "non-smoking" room has the ashtray removed and the window opened. The carpet, bed linens, towels, furniture etc. all smell like smoke. Even our clothes smelled like cigarettes the next day. The location is great. The old architecture is very cool.||||The rock hard bed is not. I considered sleeping on the carpet instead of the bed, but the smell was too strong and housekeeping had not vacuumed it in quite some time. Plenty of hair from other guests stuck to our socks and was visible on the floor.||||The staff are super friendly, but friendliess cannot overcome the condition of the hotel.
