In early September 2015, I had the pleasure of staying at Angels Fish Hostel. The hostel is located a few minutes walking distance from the Forest Park Bus Station, which takes you to the Taitung train station as well as further up the east coast. I was a lone traveler and felt very safe and comfortable here. At the time, I was the only guest in the hostel, and the staff was very kind and helpful despite that being the case. The owner even helped me secure accommodation on Green Island at a moment's notice with some of the nicest Taiwanese people I have ever met. I wish I knew the name of their hostel on Green Island because they were so kind to me as well! I don't speak Chinese or Taiwanese, and this was not a problem at all. The owner speaks English and those of the staff who had basic proficiency still went out of their way to help me and to understand my needs. The hostel is basic, nothing fancy, but the murals on the walls are cute and it is very, very clean. Breakfast is also simple but at least it's included. You can rent a bike for free here as well, which is a great way to explore Taitung. The hostel is located a few minutes away by bike from the art museum, and about fifteen minutes away from the city center. It's very near the Forest Park. I enjoyed my stay here and in the serene city of Taitung.

2015年9月初，我有幸入住天使鱼旅舍。旅舍距离森林公园巴士站仅几步之遥，从巴士站可以前往台东火车站，也可以前往东海岸更北的地方。我独自一人旅行，在这里感到非常安全舒适。当时旅舍只有我一个客人，但工作人员依然非常友善热情。老板甚至在很短的时间内就帮我在绿岛上找到了住处，那里的台湾人是我见过最友善的人之一。真希望我知道他们在绿岛上的旅舍叫什么名字，因为他们也对我非常热情！我不会说中文或台语，但这完全不是问题。老板会说英语，其他会说英语的工作人员也都尽力帮助我，理解我的需求。旅舍设施比较简单，没什么特别的，但墙上的壁画很可爱，而且非常干净。早餐也很简单，但至少是包含在房费里的。这里可以免费租自行车，是探索台东的绝佳方式。旅舍距离美术馆骑自行车只需几分钟，距离市中心也只有大约十五分钟的路程，而且离森林公园也很近。我在这里住得很愉快，也很喜欢宁静的台东这座城市。

The hostel is located in a quiet area of Taitung within few hundred meter walk to the Forrest Park Bus station where buses arrive from the train station or leave to the east coast. It is a alone standing house with the top floor being the hostel. The communual areas are nicely decorated with fish and everything needed is convienentily available like equiped kitchen, washing machine, fridge, Wifi ...The hosts Tracy and Paul take large effort to advice in activities in the area and a lot of information is on display. It is very helpful to understand this very different part of Taiwan which is much more relaxed. Bicycle rental is around the corner, the daily nightmarket in about 15 minutes walking distance to town center.

这家旅舍位于台东一处静谧的区域，步行几百米即可到达福林公园巴士站，从火车站或前往东海岸的巴士都可在此搭乘。旅舍是一栋独立的房屋，顶层为旅舍。公共区域以鱼类为主题进行精美装饰，并配备了所有生活必需品，例如设备齐全的厨房、洗衣机、冰箱、无线网络等等。旅舍主人Tracy和Paul热情好客，乐于为客人提供当地活动的建议，旅舍内也张贴了大量相关信息。这有助于您更好地了解台湾这个节奏更慢、氛围更轻松的地区。旅舍附近就有自行车租赁点，步行约15分钟即可到达市中心的夜市。

I stumbled upon this hostel and extended my stay there by 3 nights because of the great people that run the place. Taitung is off the tourist trail serving mainly as a point of interchange between the East Coast and the Islands, however my stay there allowed me to experience local aboriginal culture, immerse myself in beautiful nature, visit a local NGO, educate myself on countryside life in the East of Taiwan and eat some splendid local food; all of which I would have SKIPPED hadn't it been for the great advice provided by this hostel. ||||English skills are very high and the breakfast is great.||I hope to stay there again soon :)

我偶然发现了这家旅舍，因为旅舍老板人很好，所以我决定多住三晚。台东并非热门旅游目的地，主要作为东海岸和离岛之间的交通枢纽。然而，这次入住让我体验到了当地原住民文化，沉浸在美丽的自然风光中，参观了当地的非政府组织，了解了台湾东部的乡村生活，还品尝了一些美味的当地美食；如果没有这家旅舍提供的宝贵建议，我可能就错过了所有这些体验。||||旅舍老板的英语水平很高，早餐也很棒。||希望很快能再次入住 :)

Had an excellent stay at Angel Fish Hostel! I was just passing by Taitung, so I only stayed one day and one night. Hosts were warm and friendly and treated me like family. They provided breakfast, gave me a small bike to use, and drove me around to see a few places. Definitely recommend.

在天使鱼民宿住得非常棒！我刚好路过台东，所以只住了一天一夜。房东热情友好，待我如家人。他们提供早餐，还给了我一辆小自行车，还带我四处逛了几个地方。强烈推荐。
