裕砻假日大酒店

After spending all day going from Lake Namtso to this little temple, stopping at police check points about 15 times, we finally got to Yubhulhakang close to the 3rd largest city in Tibet. The landscape in places is very beautiful until you get close to a town or a village. Then those lovely creeks carrying pure melt water turn into trash dumps. ||Tired we arrived at what was supposed to be a “very good hotel”. The good: the linens were clean, the bed and pillow comfortable, and the heater worked. The bad: the carpet of our “nonsmoking room” had about 100 if not more cigarette burns. The wall paper was coming off and very dirty in places. The chairs upholstery was dirty and starting to rip. A pitiful bathroom, but it had hot water, which was great after the dust and dirt of the horse ride to go up to the tiny temple. The bathroom had all manner of amenities and a hair dryer, but the towels were damp. ||We first got a room with only one bed by the market with other problems, and our guide got a full ear from the receptionist, I don’t know what she said but her face and manner were not friendly, asking for another room would have guarantee us an even worse one. ||This is the first time that we were charged for the tea in the room.||Our very good hotel that was 3 stars when it was built, due to lack of maintenance now is more like one at best. The lobby was nice enough and you got internet only there. ||Breakfast was Chinese style with a large variety of the usual dishes. No tea and no coffee, we got soy milk instead.

We stayed for 1 night as part of our 14 day tour through Tibet. This hotel was booked by our tour company. Do not book this hotel if you have a choice. No staff here understands any English you need to know some basic Mandarin to communicate and they really don't care (colder than the norm at Chinese hotels). The Tsedang Hotel across the road looks ALOT nicer. ||Room: the carpet was dirtier than average compared to other similar hotels, the room smells, the room was dirty, bed sheet was clean, TV works, we did not use the air conditioner. ||Bathroom: the toilet was surrounded by water (a quarter of the bathroom) and there's a sign saying "wet floor" in both English and Mandarin on the toilet, the bathroom smells but not worse than the room, towels smells of cigarette, the shower was ok with hot water and good water pressure. ||Breakfast: basic, had egg station and bread, even the Chinese selection was very basic. ||Location: it is on a main road with many restaurants nearby, nothing special about this city, couldn't really find any Tibetan streets in the nearby vicinity. ||Service: wifi was "broken" in the lobby, staff appeared annoyed when approached.

For those who have traveled to China before, it's pretty much standard for a middle-of-the-road Chinese hotel in an out of the way area. And what I expected.||Plenty of space, plenty of hot water, clean linen on hard beds and a good Chinese restaurant just a couple of doors up on the left as you exit the front door. Floors not too clean, not a great deal of western options in the diningroom, little English spoken but unless you are very fussy - or expecting first world facilities - it's perfectly OK for a day or two. Just manage your expectations and learn to cope with things that aren't as you'd expect them at home. You're in Tibet after all: consider yourself lucky and don't moan.

对于那些曾经来过中国的人来说，这家偏僻地区的中式中国酒店几乎是标准的。正如我所期望的那样。||有足够的空间，充足的热水，硬床上干净的床单，当你离开前门时，左边几扇门就有一家不错的中餐馆。地板不太干净，餐厅里没有太多西式选择，很少说英语，但除非你非常挑剔 - 或者期待一流的设施 - 住一两天完全没问题。只需管理您的期望并学会应对在家中与您期望不同的事情即可。毕竟你在西藏：认为自己很幸运，不要抱怨。

This Chinese hotel opposite the much better looking Tsedang Hotel is just about okay for a night in Tsedang but please do not stay here any longer unless you have to. The reception staff spoke little English, did not seem to care much about the guests despite there being very few, and services were few and far between. My room at the back of the hotel looked out on to a building site with a cement mixer which went on until after 8pm. Rooms appeared to be available by the hour. Breakfast was Chinese fare and not very good. There was no internet in the hotel and as far as the reception staff knew, none nearby.||We were pleased to leave and I hope not to return.

这家中国酒店位于看起来更好的 Tsedang Hotel 对面，在 Tsedang 酒店住一晚还算可以，但除非迫不得已，否则请不要再住在这里。接待人员不会说英语，尽管人数很少，但似乎不太关心客人，而且服务也少之又少。我的房间位于酒店后面，可以看到一个建筑工地，那里有一台水泥搅拌机，搅拌机一直工作到晚上 8 点以后。房间似乎是按小时供应的。早餐是中式的，不是很好。酒店里没有互联网，据接待人员所知，附近也没有。||我们很高兴离开，希望不会再回来。

A mixed bag. Friendly staff. Substantial buffet, Chinese-cuisine, don't expect any Western fare. The carpet in my room was soaked for mysterious reasons and caused a kind of stinky smell in the room. Clean bathroom. Phone call after 10PM asking me if I wanted a massage....uh, yeah, right, no thanks. But then I've come to expect calls like that in Chinese hotels. While there was a CAT5 cord in the hotel room, there was no connectivity. And not an open and/or functioning WiFi signal to be found.||||I also spent some time in the Tsedang Hotel which is right across the street from the Yulong. I preferred the energy/vibe in the Tsedang though I did not see any guest rooms. But I was pleased to find an open WiFi network available in the lobby of the hotel and used it a number of times with no one hassling me.

This hotel seemed a dirty imitation of a 3* hotel. The first room we were shown was missing lights and a working tv. Both that one and the one we accepted had very dirty carpets and slightly stained bedclothes. On the upside the breakfasts were great, the showers really nice, and the staff friendly, although no one spoke English. This was our 2nd choice hotel and we hope our 1st would have been cleaner. However, we slept well, and had hot water 24/7.

比较干净，服务态度也比较好，你拿东西，他看你东西多了，它会主动帮你提。关键它送早餐，早餐比较好吃，而且种类多，可能有三十种，然后中西餐都有。西藏这边的酒店很少提供特色的食物，因为藏菜很多人吃不惯的嘛。然后中餐晚餐也可以吃饭的。然后这里环境很好，娱乐的话，可能就是洗洗脚这样的，桑拿是没有的。

Gives a dirty feeling. Staff speaks no English. Try the 4 star hotel opposite side of the street. Lobby bar did not open whole day. Very strong cigarette smell though my self is a smoker. Cables are possible fire resource in the room.

给人一种肮脏的感觉。工作人员不会说英语。试试街对面的四星级酒店。大堂酒吧全天没有营业。尽管我自己是吸烟者，但香烟味很浓。电缆可能是房间内的火源。
