金陵（丹阳）饭店

I noticed that one of the reviewers who wrote about this hotel (Christopher S) noted that receptionist could not speak English... but my experience was completely opposite: they spoke better English than half of the TESL teachers in Jiangsu province! Internet worked both ways: cable and wireless (which wasn't even advertised). I went during the Dragon Boat Festival and I didn't wait at all for my omelette - at 8:15 there was only 5 of us in the restaurant (cafe) on the ground floor and the food was simply too much of the choice to even try everything - Western and Chinese style breakfasts were available! During the afternoon I had fruit plate delivered for free, as well as the local paper. I booked the DeLuxe room and it was worth every penny: two king size beds with perfect comfort, nice fittings in the bathroom and plenty of towels. They even provide erasers, rulers, pens, stationery, staplers for the businessmen, not just shaver, toothbrush, comb, shoe polishing kit, body lotion, matches and sewing kit... It was a pleasant surprise!||||After getting the bill I noticed that my train ticket wasn't in my wallet and I thought I lost it while paying for my dinner previous night. I mentioned that to the receptionist and she said to me not to worry. She sent the staff to check all the bins and under the bed, and in 10 minutes they were back with my ticket! Amazing... Who ever trained this crew - did well , they were outstanding!

not upto expectations. the reception cannot speak english. the service was very average. the cleanliness can be improved. i was told it belongs to a famous chain of hotels and expected excellent service having stayed in other hotels. they say internet connection is there, but it does not work at all, even after the technician fixing it 4-5 times. bed comfort can really be improved. the breakfast service was below average, they make us wait for more than 20 minutes for a 'omlette'. Although located in the busy part of danyang, not meet any expectation or even the service was below average. My contact told me i was unlucky to have such poor service from a reputed chain of hotels.

Having traveled for many years in China, I know first hand that it is not always easy to find a comfortable hotel once you get outside of the large urban areas. DanYang is a small city (for China), with less than 1 million people.||||The Jinling hotel is a good hotel for business travelers. Hailing from the USA, my preference is for a 'western' style hotel. The Jinling DanYang does not disappoint. In the USA, we would probably rate it a good 3 stars. The lobby is large, but with scant seating. The rooms are fairly roomy, with smallish bathrooms. Rooms are starting to show their age somewhat. Located in the Central Part of DanYang. According to local colleagues, it is one of the 2 best hotels in the city.||||TV has CNN, BBC and Deutsche Welle. Flat screen TV. Complimentary (wired) internet access (somewhat slow - but workable). Complimentary breakfast buffet has enough choice for westerners (breads, eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereals and fruit), with lots of Chinese fare as well. Restaurant serves decent western food for dinner at reasonable prices. Even minibar prices are reasonable (when compared to outrageous prices in e.g. Shanghai hotels).||||Basic English at the reception area. Enough to communicate on the pertinent matters. ||||I stayed 3 night and had a pleasant stay.

我在中国旅行多年，亲身体会到，一旦离开大城市，找到一家舒适的酒店并不总是那么容易。丹阳是一个小城市（对于中国来说），人口不到100万。||||金陵大酒店是商务旅客的好酒店。我来自美国，我更喜欢“西式”风格的酒店。金陵丹阳酒店并没有让人失望。在美国，我们可能会将其评为 3 星。大堂很大，但座位很少。房间相当宽敞，浴室较小。房间开始有些老化了。位于丹阳市中部。据当地同事评价，这是该市最好的两家酒店之一。||||电视有 CNN、BBC 和 Deutsche Welle。平面电视。免费（有线）互联网接入（有点慢 - 但可以使用）。免费自助早餐为西方人提供了足够的选择（面包、鸡蛋、培根、酸奶、麦片和水果），还有很多中餐。餐厅以合理的价格提供美味的西餐晚餐。即使是迷你吧的价格也很合理（与上海酒店等离谱的价格相比）。||||接待区有基本的英语。就相关事宜进行足够的沟通。 ||||我住了 3 晚，住得很愉快。

Have stayed there at least 10 times over the years. And it is getting worse. The room was pretty much worn out. Loose appliances in bathroom... Check in and out was smooth. Breakfast is getting terrible. Toast was empty and staff busy talking to each other instead of helping. No glasses for orange juice - cold and I mean really cold fried eggs prepared ages ago. It is time that Danyang gets a new hotel.|Return - as long as there is nothing better I have to.

My usual corporate hotel when in danyang. First visit in 2023 since covid in 2020, i find the renovated hotel nicer. Be it rooms, restaurant,etc. The 4th floor ktv is closed unfortunately.

This was worse hotel out of my 6 trips to China. Room itself was ok. Bathroom very small and you have to squeeze your self in the shower. Nice thing was to have teapot||and fridge. Bad things start in the morning: breakfast buffet is absolutely terrible.||Old food looked like at least few days old. All served basically cold. Stuff bring out food to the trays and go eat themselves. Was a problem to get even dissent cup of coffee.

Centrally located, old style hotel needs a lot of renovation and lot of cleanliness For a quick stay for business it's okayHowever the staff is young and super helpful , 10/10 for the staff at restraunt , reception very prompt to try and help with any requirements Posting pic of the bathhouse which is nice place to relax in the same infrastructure

We stayed here for 2 weeks.Rooms are spacious, Hotel is good staff was friendly however communication in english is a problem only at the reception you could exchange few sentences.. it has a nice lobby and we were able to request some vegetarian dishes in the restaurant. Be careful when you enter spa or massage center there were ppl with no clothes and since you cannot really communicate it might not be what you were expecting!.
