Hualuxe Yibin, An IHG Hotel

Rooms - large, clean, tastefully decorated interior. Very comfortable bed and pillow selection. Sheets carry the hotel's monogram logo. Room rug is a bit dusty and could use a nice carpet shampoo. ||Service - remarkable improvement from our last experience. Overall friendly and helpful service. The hotel has English speakers on staff and can accommodate a wide variety of guest needs. There is a noticeable difference in service quality between requests made in English and those made in Chinese. ||Amenities - pool and gym have modern equipment, plenty of choices.||Restaurants - The staff at the Western restaurant xiaoyan has impressed us with their attentiveness and food quality daily. Food at the Chinese restaurant is ho-hum a-ok. Their menu provides a convenient introduction to local cuisine, but we probably wouldn't go out of our way to eat here.

5 star property, 3 star service. This Hualuxe is in a new development area in Yibin where there are unversities close by, shopping areas and other amenities. All sites appear to be newly built, offering guests access to some of the newest infrastructure Yibin has to offer. ||No one greeted us on arrival -- no bellboys, no staff even though there were some standee outside chatting. Guests with lots of luggage and kids in tow -- be prepared to explicitly ask for assistance if you need it. The lady at the front desk didn't seem to notice we booked a room with Club Lounge access and did not inform us of the lounge not being available. It is standard process at all of the IHG's we've stayed at to inform us of club lounge benefits the guest paid for and this was not done. And it turns out the Club Lounge is actually closed even though their hotel description advertises the lounge being available between 6am-11pm. ||Room - everything came as advertised. What you see is what you get in the pictures. They're large, spacious and new. This is a brand new property.||Service - reception lacks smiles all around. We did not feel welcomed at this property. The manager of the hotel provided an upgrade for the missing club lounge after we complained. An attitude adjustment would make this one of the best properties in the area.|| I may be a bit biased after 10 days of absolutely amazing service from the Vietnam hospitality industry. I write this so that readers have access to accurate information on their travels. From our travels, we observed the hospitality industry as a whole in China lags behind other SE Asian countries, e.g., Vietnam.

和哥们儿一起到这边来体验一下酒都氛围，在飞机上就看到了当地首推酒店宜宾华邑看装修环境地理位置都很不错下飞机就直接过来了过来之后门口工作人员和前台接待都非常积极热情很温暖吃的也很不错

环境优美，地理位置好，交通方便，房间舒适卫生，服务人员很热情，乐于提供各种帮助，早餐丰富。设施很人性化，网络高速信号好，窗外风景好。有特别的开床服务，房间小摆件的设计也很有特色。性价比不错，下次还要入住

房间整体设计合理，又是洲际的管理，枕头柔软舒适，床上用品干净整洁，周围吃的不多，但是可以点外卖，值得推荐，周边有万象汇商场比较方便

It is located in the new conference center and just a few minutes walk to the river. The view is amazing and easy to get around with taxi standby. The staff is super friendly and helpful, especially the assigned concierge April who made recommendation on the local restaurants. The view from the lounge is great, overall a great place to relax or serve as base for sightseeing.
