THE NEST VILLA

My extended family and I (8 adults and 3 children) stayed at The Nest Villa at Athirappily in April 2023. We stayed at Villa number 6. The villa had 2 rooms on the ground, each with an AC and 1 more room on the first floor. The first floor roof was an asbestos sheet. So it was extremely hot. The ground floor also had a kitchen area. But only a kettle and other cutlery was there. The actual kitchen with gas stove and cylinder was an open kitchen on the first floor. We had actually booked this place so that we could make use of the kitchen because I was traveling with a 2 year old. If the gas stove was provided in the ground floor itself, it would have been much easier to cook. It's definitely not ideal for a family style cooking especially for a kid/toddler. The main door's latch was not working and the key was very inconvenient to use. For such a secluded place, a better locking mechanism would be required. Inside the villa's compound there was a sitout to accommodate a couple of chairs. During the mornings, it was quiet and peaceful. But the compound did not have any gate, which again looked like a security lapse. Overall the villa looks good from the outside. But once you go inside, it looks very incomplete. They could have definitely done a better job with the kitchen facility provided on the first floor.

Very bad experience. Booked through Agoda. When we reached there they are telling no communication from Agoda and no rooms are available. Villas are owned by different individuals. Not operated as a hotel or resort.
