Marari Green Villas

We stayed at Marari Green Villas recently, and it turned out to be a mixed experience. The Positives: The property is very clean and well-maintained. Rooms are spacious, airy, and tidy—definitely a good pick for group stays. The access to the pool is a great plus, and they also have cycles available if you’d like to explore the surroundings. Marari Beach is about a 10–15 minute walk from the villa, which makes it quite convenient. Basic toiletries were also provided, which was helpful. The Not-So-Great Bits: The biggest downside was the unavailability of food on the premises—there’s no in-house restaurant or even tea/snacks provided. Since the property is located in a quieter part of town, decent eateries are quite far and online delivery options are very limited. Another issue was the pool—it doesn’t have a separate shallow area for kids, and unfortunately, a few of the children in our group developed rashes, suggesting the pool may not have been treated properly. There are no oprion for any activities for kids or adults. TV was working but had no access to any channels.. Overall, it's a clean and peaceful stay, ideal if you're going as a group and can manage food arrangements on your own. With some improvements on the food and pool hygiene side, this could be a fantastic getaway spot near Marari Beach.

We had an opportunity to stay in this resort for 2 days. Very good ambience and service. Rooms are big and very clean. Staff especially Himanshu the cook were very friendly. Overall very good experience and had a wonderful stay.. Highly recommended

Good villas with decent size rooms. Air conditioned and also have ceiling fans. Relaxing setting with pool access. Food cooked to order was good and the staff were very helpful. Owners really go the extra mile to ensure you have a lovely stay. 10 minutes walk to marari beach (clean beach) with easy bus access to Allepey.

We booked this hotel to have a few days r&r after completing a hectic tour of Southern India. What a fantastic find! This is a wonderful, peaceful, family run, small hotel 10 minutes walk from the beach. The hotel have bikes you can use, but we just walked. It is an oasis of calm with a pool and beautiful, well maintained gardens. Our room was cool, immaculately clean, with good air-con and fan. The bed was very comfy and the shower had plenty of hot water. We appreciated the drying rail in each room, which meant we were able to do some washing after our trip. ||What makes this hotel so special is the family and staff, who are so attentive to their guests. They work tirelessly to make sure everything is perfect. The owner even went out of his way to drive into town to get us some cold beer! The chef here produces excellent homemade food, which you pre order from a menu. Breakfast is huge, with a bowl of fresh fruit, omelette, toast, jam and a traditional Indian dish. The lovely lady who works in the kitchen and cleaned our room|always had a smile and did an excellent job. Highly recommend!

Excellent place for a relaxed weekend away from the hustle bustle of daily life. With Marari beach a few minutes walk away, and a very well maintained swimming pool on the property, we had a really good experience at Marari Green Villas. Outstanding service by the staff as well. Everything we required was immediately attended to. Breakfast and beverages were available at the property and we were able to order lunch and dinner easily from nearby. Loved our experience and will be back soon!

Marari Green Villas is where hospitality finds new meaning. The owner, Anandhu, is a gem of a person, with a heart of gold. And he made sure that our family of 8 had no reason to complain. |The rooms are bright and spacious. The property is well maintained, and the best part about our stay was the hospitality shown to us. It felt like home. |The food is freshly prepared and is perfect on the palette. Anandhu was truly a generous host, going out of his way to ensure all our demands were met. Case in point being a drop off and pickup in his brand new car to a beach restaurant around a kilometre away. He didn’t have to, but he readily offered to. |It is these small things that truly won over our hearts. Our trip was truly memorable as a result. |Anyone reading this review must go to Marari Green Villas to experience what we did. Anandhu will ensure your stay will be everything you expected and more.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, which we appreciated. However, the experience was let down by poor communication from the host—my message regarding the booking confirmation went unanswered for almost three days, which was quite frustrating. Upon arrival, there was no one at the reception, which added to the inconvenience. Additionally, the location was not ideal, as the place is far from nice restaurants, and they don’t offer lunch, making it a hassle to find good dining options nearby. Overall, while the rooms were nice, the lack of responsiveness and the location made the stay less enjoyable than expected.

I stayed here for 4 nights to wind down following a busy G Adventures 14 day group tour of S India. It is an absolute haven. It is a 10 minute walk to the magnificent Marari beach where there are a variety of restaurants. However, Marari Green Villas has a fantastic chef providing a great breakfast (Continental and Indian choices - and the best coffee I had on my trip!!) and a reasonably priced extensive lunch/dinner/snack menu that can be ordered with an hour’s notice. Cold beer is also available by request. My bedroom was large, cool and very clean and opened out onto a covered veranda overlooking a delightful swimming pool. Above all the owners and staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Marari Green Villas
