The Himalayan Hobbit is undoubtedly a visual treat. Its stunning location and charming ambiance create an unforgettable dining experience. The breathtaking views are a sight to behold, and the cozy interior adds to the overall appeal. However, while the setting is impressive, the food fell short of expectations. The chocolate brownie, which arrived as a dense cake slice, was a disappointment. The coffee, which appeared to be Nescafe or some other ready-made variety, didn't live up to our expectations.. While the Himalayan Hobbit excels in its aesthetics, it seems to need some improvement in its culinary offerings to truly live up to its potential.

Himalayan Hobbit House is a gem in Kasar Devi! The cafe offers amazing food, both in quality and taste, with breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. We stayed in the Rivendell room, which was perfect — a cozy space with a lovely balcony showcasing mesmerizing vistas. Special thanks to Arvind, the manager, for his warm hospitality and for providing a heater to keep us comfortable on chilly nights. The location is perfect as it is surrounded by cafes and is in close proximity to the Kasar Devi Temple. This place is a must-visit for its stunning scenery, excellent food, and exceptional service. Highly recommended!

I used the Hobbit House's restaurant. From outside the building appears a bit odd and ugly and totally at odds with its surroundings. The interiors, however, are warm and welcoming, the design eclectic and beautiful with large windows letting in beautiful natural light on to heavy wooden tables and chairs. The expansive dining area spills on to the adjacent terrace and the lawns below it. Each space has its unique charm. I chose a table on the terrace as it was still warm and enjoyed marvelous forest and valley views while having breakfast. The menu is a crowd-pleaser and has traveller favourites like muesli and oats, and shakshuka. The service is friendly and the food delicious. One is bound to return again and again for the lovely ambience and gorgeous scenery.

Found this cozy little place on Google. Read the reviews and stopped here for lunch. Was greeted with a hobbit inspired ambience and extremely polite staff. The view from the place is breathtaking. We were lucky that we were the only people here, it felt like we own the place, they let us sit wherever we wanted and eat at other table. The food came in about 10-15 min of ordering, the service was fast and the presentation was top notch. The taste was also good, except for the frozen french fries everything else tasted really nice. The added attractions were the choice of music, instrumental mellow music was apt for the place and the choicest of books to read. The price was also pretty reasonable. It was a pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend a visit when nearby.

5/5 Stars I recently visited the cafe at Himalayan Hobbit House in Almora, and it was an unforgettable experience! The highlight of my visit was the incredible food - hands down, the best I had in Kasar devi, Almora. The menu was a fusion of Tibetan, Chinese, and Italian cuisine, and everything we tried was delicious! The garlic sauce momos were steamed to perfection sauteed in Garlic sauce, the chili paneer was spicy and flavorful, and Pizza was the best unique and tasty twist on traditional pizza. But what truly made my visit special was the breathtaking view of the Himalayas from the cafe. Watching the sunset over the mountains was a sight I'll never forget. To top it all off, I celebrated my birthday at the cafe, and the staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable day. They surprised me with a delicious pancake topped with chocolate spread and my name written on it! Wohhh so yummy it was.. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture that made my birthday truly special. The staff at the Himalayan Hobbit House cafe are genuinely kind and warm. They made me feel welcome and at ease. If you're looking for a great place to grab a bite and enjoy the view in kasar Devi, Almora, look no further than the Himalayan Hobbit House cafe! Amazing views, extremely polite staff, great location, and really good food at nominal prices. Hot coffee, Chinese and Italian was definitely their best bet! A must visit for people visiting Kasar Devi.
