Sri Ram Bhavan

Not a good hotel as expected! The place looks shabby and dull. Firstly, there's no parking space near the hotel. The roads are narrow and congested. I visited on a weekend for breakfast. I ordered Masala Dose and Pulav. The dose was crispy, but was not hot as I expected. The pulav was ok okishh. The raita for the pulav was like milk. It was watery. You can't enjoy the raita because of its nature. The coffee was the worst. Bengaluru people would definitely throw it into the gutter. The lady and a man working there are quite good and hence giving them 2 star reviews. They have a lot of room for improvement - Both Quality and Hygiene of the place! All the best for the team. (I'm not visiting again!)

Everything was very ordinary. Goli baje was cold, chutney flavour was ordinary and dosa wasn't crisp. The shavige seemed stale and korma had no flavour. I am never going back there again.

One of the oldest restaurants in Udupi. Amazing food. Probably the best sambar I have ever tasted. My recommend: Dosa, Goli Baje, Tea

Located at a walkable distance from the temple. This hotel serves idli, Vada, masala/neer dosa, pattrode, buns, dahi vada, chow chow bath, shavige idli. All taste amazing and first timers will really enjoy. It is one of the oldest hotels still going strong. This is just a hotel and not a lodge.

Another old place in Udupi for thindi. I tried their pathrode, idli sambar dippu (they also have idli dalitovve), masal dosE (homely, different from Bengaluru style), buns (cold, weren't made to order, but the kurma that came with it was fantastic!), Sajjige bajil (most excellent!) And neer dosE that came with a fresh chutney. Their vadE was also good. They also sell pickles, cashew as well. Prices are very reasonable.

Old and iconic eatery in Udupi with authentic local breakfast items. Ownership has been changed but taste is quite the same.

The place is sometimes crowded. It's bit small place but thy serve freshly prepared dishes. Most of the traditional Tulunad (Coastal Karnataka) breakfast can be found here. I would say it's a must visit place...
