The Best Breakfast Spot in Town! Nestled within the Krishna Math area, this gem serves some of the most delightful food I’ve ever had. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Their buns are simply unbeatable, and the coffee? Hands down, one of the best around. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, though seating is limited, so plan accordingly. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely enhance the dining experience. For a fantastic start to your day, this is the place to go. Don’t miss out on their breakfast—I’ll definitely be back soon!

mitra samaj, Udupi. This place doesn't deserve a single star. The servers here act as if they are giving food for free. The server's atrocities are at its peak. The owner lady doesn't value customers. The hotel is running on its name. Waiting time is too much and after the wait you have to sit on the table and wait hours for the server to take the order. Totally bad experience and I don't recommend it to anyone. Please save your time and money by not visiting. There are better places in and around.

Within the Krishna Math temple complex, was attracted to this place 'cause of its endearing name. Lives upto it 100%. We visited Mitra Samaj three or four times during our stay in Udupi. Mangalore buns are a must, masala dosa , idli vada and sheera (kesari bhaath) all are very good. We always rounded up our meal with filter coffee. Do try the cold badam milk. The service is friendly and efficient, prices our reasonable.

Best Breakfast Spot in Town!😀 it’s inside Krishna math area! I can’t recommend this place enough! The food is absolutely delicious—everything is fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Their buns are the best and the coffee is some of the best I’ve had. The ambiance is warm and inviting, but limited seating. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a great start to your day, this is the spot to visit. Don’t miss breakfast there! Will definitely be coming back soon!

I visited here after seeing a reel about it, and tried many dishes. It’s quite a nice place like old times but few might feel congested. I would prefer to try biscuit rotti. uppittu, goli baji and of course mangalore buns here. Taste is good but quantity for the price is less.

**Review:** This place is heaven! We visited twice during our trip, and every visit was exceptional. Starting with the location—situated in a quaint town—it adds to the charm of the experience. The **masala dosa** was incredible, the **buns** were unbelievably fresh (the tastiest I’ve ever had), and the **button idlis** were absolutely addictive. A **must-try** is the **badam milk** and goli bhajji! Even the **chutney and sambhar** stood out, elevating the meal further. **Would recommend 100/10!**

Morning breakfast food is good, specially the sambar/saru with idli is next level. Evening snacks golibaje(m'lore bajji) is just instagram hype and overpriced like anything one plate golibaje cost damn 60 rs with average taste. Golibaje is available for 30-35 rs in the other places. Tea /coffee is also average . My rating is 3.8

I finally got a chance to visit Mitra Samaj, and it lived up to its reputation in many ways. The Mangalore buns were the highlight for me—soft, slightly sweet, and paired perfectly with a cup of their hot tea. It was the kind of comforting breakfast that sets the right tone for the day. The masala dosa, however, was just okay. I’ve had better, and the chutney could definitely use a bit more flavor. But for the price, it’s hard to complain. The only downside was the crowd—this place gets packed quickly, and I had to wait around 15-20 minutes to get a seat. Overall, it’s a great spot for an authentic and budget-friendly Udupi breakfast. Just be prepared for the wait, especially during peak hours!
