The Village

I had a very terrible and disappointing stay at this village resort, Varkala. There was absolutely no room service—not even basic cleaning during the stay. The bathroom was in terrible shape: both the bathing shower and toilet hand shower were broken. Hygiene was a major concern, with flies, a cockroach, and even a centipede in the bathroom. The pillow was old and uncomfortable, and I ended up with back pain. There were no basic amenities—no TV, no breakfast, not even tea or coffee. When asked for cofee or tea they told us to go out and search for the same. Literally worst experience For ₹3500, all I got was a poorly maintained room with none of the essentials. Completely overpriced and definitely not recommended. Never recommend this resort ot hotel whatever to anyone if you just wanna have swimming pool and wanna waste money pls book the room. Beware of such money wasting hotel. Will share the videos to those who Want the proof of stay. Zero star to this stay. Never gonna come back here again ever again. Beware of such resorts or hotels.

Pros The suite room was actually aesthetic with a swing where you can actually sleep in. Three queen sized beds. The bathroom was large with a shower, hand shower and two taps. The basin was at a higher level you have to tip toe and lean in to use it. Common areas to lounge look pretty nice in all floors (3?) Cons. -Only one AC. The room for barely cool. -Only one bathroom for 5 people. Seriously?! -Complimentary breakfast was Bread(charred both days ) and jam. Tea and coffee. They gave mediocre dosas on the first day. - No fridge - No TV - No intercom - No elevator. For the price they charge, it doesn't make any sense. We had to book an additional room just for an extra bathroom. The irony is that this single room had a fridge and a balcony.

Please don't book any room here. It's a scam. It's one of the dirtiest hotels. You will see insects in the bathing water. You have to use bottled water for brushing your teeth. They are charging 14,000 per room and saying it's a 3-star hotel. It does not have a single facility to call itself a 3-star hotel. It's a scam. They ask for money first, then show the room. You don't have the option to pay the bill during checkout; you have to pay everything during check-in. Everything smells bad. The floor is sticky. One of the dirtiest rooms I have ever seen. The room floor is sticky, and there is a bad odor. It's not worth even 500 rupees, but they charge ten times that. They don't even know the concept of hot water for the amount they are charging. The rooms are super tiny.

The resort was amazing with a beautiful beach view. The hospitality was really great, and Shehik Irfan made sure I was comfortable and looked after everything I needed. Felt totally relaxed and cared for.

First best part they are pet friendly. Neat and clean, very close to the beach and the way to north cliff. We enjoyed sunset from the pool and happy with our time here.

Cheap and cheerful hotel! Amazing service everyone was available to help at any time. The location is perfect, not right on the cliff but a minutes walk away which was good when you want a day that's not filled with too many people. The rooms are super basic but the pool and service make up for it.

We had a great stay here! The rooms are big with beach view! Everything was clean and the staff was very helpful! We can recommend and will totally come back! Also the pool was refreshing and great!
