S'Cliff Beach Resort Varkala

My recent stay at hotel was average. Below are positive of hotel - 1. Sea view available and near to black sand beach. 2. Room are well maintained however there was moisture all time in the bottom wooden tiles. 3. All good cafe/hotel/ beaches walking distance. Cons of stay- 1. Please do not expect service just enjoy your holidays and beach experience as apart from basic water bottle, bathroom kit no other service is there. No restaurant/cafe. 2. Parkinh area is there but quite small only 4/5 cars can be accommodated.

My honest review of the resort is extreme disappointment with my recent stay at your resort. Unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations, especially considering the room cost of ₹4,000 per night. Parking Issue: I specifically booked this resort because parking was included. However, your security staff behaved rudely and refused to allow me to park, insisting I wait until other guests left. This was highly inconvenient and unprofessional. Hygiene Standards: The washrooms were in very poor condition, worse than public washrooms, and the rooms themselves were not clean or properly maintained. Breakfast Service: Instead of providing breakfast at the resort as advertised, I was given a coupon and asked to go to a separate restaurant. This was misleading and not at all what was promised. Overall, this has been the worst experience I have had at a resort, and the facilities and services provided are not at all worth the ₹4,000 charged.

The only positive aspects of this property are its wonderful location and the delightful view. ​However, the rest of the stay was an extremely negative experience. The service was absolutely the worst, and the property appears to be severely understaffed or unstaffed, requiring self check-in and self check-out. ​I strongly advise against choosing this property for your stay. Selecting this hotel would be a significant mistake.

The place is in a prime cliffside location, but I highly do not recommend staying here. It was extremely costly — I paid more than ₹6,000 for one night. They claimed it was a sea-view room, but the view was not proper at all. The towels were of very poor quality, the washroom was in terrible condition, and the water initially came out red. The staff coordination was also very bad. There was no handwash, no hair dryer, and the TV only had Kerala channels — no Netflix or other apps. The property is very old and not maintained properly. Overall, it was not worth the price at all.

Property is too cheap cant offer more than Rs 2500/- per night as not a proper resort. Managed by 1-2 staff so no proper room service, cleanliness,towels, available No separate swimming pool of the hotel, food not available. To book only if available below Rs 2500 otherwise look for another property Also not suitable for family

The view from room was nice. But when we arrived, they said the property was closed. and showed another property. We didn't like that. And after 1 hour, they arranged a room in this resort. And the room was not clean.

I paid full amount 2500 for sweetroom but just after payment he ask me to pay caution security in advance 3500 but I doubted and ask many question then he realise he will not pay more so after that he blocked my number. Totally fraud with tourist don't trust google search Scliff black beach resort name wrongly used here. Need to take strick actions.

Only good thing about this place is the ocean view from the room. The bedsheets had holes, pillow covers has stains, toilet had permanent mark of I don’t know what and the bathroom smelled like acid washed.
