Kumarakom Tharavadu - Heritage Hotel

Everything was good except the bathroom hand pipe was super slow. There are 8 rooms in this hotel which was once a THARAVADU as said and now turned to hotel. The only problem I see is when men land up drinking and its a sticky situation to not even be able to step outside. But on my mentioning the manager Mr ROBIN was kind enough to do what's needed. I enjoyed the stay ✌️

Nice little resort with a pool in the center of the rooms. Decent rooms. Staff need customer service training. Requested for an extended checkout from 12 pm To 2 pm but was rejected although property was empty. We travel around the world and every now and then especially for a stay of 3 nights and a booking of 6 rooms together, 1 room requests for 2 hours extended check out and we get

During our family visit, we booked two rooms and were impressed with the excellent service provided. The staff was particularly friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. We also took a boat ride, which was reasonably priced and a lot of fun. The kids had a great time and enjoyed every moment of our trip. Great place if you are looking for a heritage atmosphere.

Such a lovely stay! The rooms were nice, the atmosphere was really fresh, and had a vintage touch to it. Food was really tasty, we had Sadhya in the afternoon and complimentary breakfast was tasty, with local foods like Puttu & Kadala Curry as well as Cornflakes, Eggs and Bread. The pool was really warm and comforting. The swing (oonjaalu) outside was a highlight 👌 Feedback: The bed linen could be newer, and in a 3-star property more toiletry provisions would be much appreciated. Towels were there, but we could do with shampoo, conditioner and a dental kit. Shoutout to Viji chechi, Yadhu, Robin & the watchman uncle whose name I forgot 🙏

Our stay at Kumarakom Theravadu was disappointing despite the clean and well-maintained rooms. Unfortunately, the overall experience was marred by several issues. Despite repeatedly informing the staff of our vegetarian meal preferences, we were served non-vegetarian food. Additionally, the pool area was in poor condition, with rusty nails causing rashes. Unless these issues are addressed and the hotel improves its customer service, I cannot recommend this place.

Disappointing Stay - Poor Hospitality, Attitude Issues, and Unmet Expectations_ My recent stay at Kumarakom Tharavadu Heritage Resort was unfortunately a letdown due to subpar hospitality, employee attitude issues, and unmet expectations. Despite clear instructions, the hotel made a significant error by serving non-vegetarian food at our event, which was specifically organized for our Brahmin friends. This mistake was particularly distressing. Furthermore, the hotel's infrastructure and maintenance fell short in several areas. The fans in our room stopped working in the middle of the night, causing discomfort. The window and balcony curtains were not properly cleaned, raising hygiene concerns. The pool area was a major safety concern. The plastic guards on the ground were broken, and the screws were protruding, creating a significant risk of accidents. I brought this to the attention of the employees and requested that they at least cover the area with boards to prevent any incidents. Unfortunately, they failed to take any action, leaving the hazard unaddressed. It seemed like the hotel was more focused on extracting payment than providing a comfortable and respectful experience for their clients. Until significant improvements are made, I would caution others to carefully consider their options before booking this hotel. The safety concerns and lack of attention to detail are major red flags that need to be addressed.

Excellent place for families. Rooms were neat and tidy and met the expectations. All basic amenities were provided. Food is prepared fresh and delicious. Thanks for the special preparation of fish items as per our personal recipe. Thanks to Sijo and team for taking good care of us during the stay. The pool was also clean and well maintained. I would recommend the place especially if travelling with family.
