Stayed here for a couple of nights and had a fairly good experience overall. The biggest highlight is the location — the hotel is right in front of the beach, offering easy access and beautiful views just steps away. If you’re looking to relax by the sea, this spot is ideal. The service was friendly and responsive — staff were helpful throughout the stay, and check-in/check-out were smooth. They were accommodating and made sure basic needs were met promptly. The rooms were decent — clean and functional, though not particularly luxurious or modern. Don’t expect high-end interiors, but they’re good enough for a comfortable stay. Overall, the location and service make up for what the rooms lack. A great choice if beach access is your top priority.

My stay at The Neelakanta Beach Resort was a relaxing and memorable experience. The standout feature of the resort is its location — right on Lighthouse Beach with uninterrupted views of the sea. Waking up to the sound of waves and being just steps away from the beach made the entire trip feel peaceful and refreshing. The rooms were spacious, clean, and airy, with large windows letting in plenty of natural light and sea breeze. The pool area was well-kept and offered a great spot to relax with the ocean in the background. One thing I really appreciated was the breakfast buffet. It had a good variety of options, both local and continental, and the food was fresh and well-prepared. Starting the day with a meal overlooking the sea added to the overall charm. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout the stay. While some parts of the property show signs of age, the direct beach access, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly service more than made up for it. If you’re looking for a quiet beachfront retreat with good amenities and a scenic setting, The Neelakanta is worth considering.

Rooms are very good. Staff are polite and helpful. I had a good stay here. Only issue is if you want wifi access, it is not available inside the room

It was good to stay here. Located at the beach site. Swimming Pool was not up to the mark. I think it was not properly clean. So we avoided to use it. Over all are good. Breakfast was average specially for the veg options.

Pathetic hotel! Don’t even think of booking this place. I paid for a premium suite but what I got was worse than a cheap lodge. Dirty bedsheets, filthy blankets, and zero basic facilities. Hot water is a joke here — not available in the evening, and in the morning you’ll be lucky if you get it even after 9 AM. Staff is totally useless — just one receptionist acting like the manager, no accountability, no professionalism. For ₹6,000 a night, this is daylight robbery. The service doesn’t even match a ₹1,000 roadside hotel. Worst hotel experience of my life. Should have an option for negative stars, because even 1 star is too much for this garbage place.

On our trip to kovalam ,we had food here while visiting kovalam cliff. In the Neelakanta hotel, the food was so delicious and very clean and hygienic. Especially the person 'Vimal' called us and explained the cuisine clearly and the way of serving was amaze.

We 5 people in the family have stayed in the property for 3 nights. It is an old one and needs some improvement. But the service team was excellent. They were always eager to attend issues. We would definitely recommend. And the sea view from our 2 rooms were simply superb!

Rooms were hygienic and fantastic. Breakfast is free and is a buffet. Food tasted so good. Good view of the beach from the room. The pool needs a bit more maintenance. First aid kit needs more meds. Kind and capable staffs. Overall I highly recommend this hotel for a good experience.
