Veu Munnar Retreat

Our stay at VEU Munnar Retreat was absolutely wonderful! The room was marvellous — clean, cozy, and offered a beautiful view. A special thanks to Nanditha & Sahal at the front desk for her warm hospitality and helpful attitude throughout our stay. Especially the restaurant food — we all enjoyed it very much! Every meal was delicious and beautifully served. Overall, a perfect experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting Munnar! 🌿✨

Rule No. 1: Don’t prefer this resort 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 My experience at this resort was extremely disappointing. The place lacked basic cleanliness and proper maintenance. Hot water was available only during fixed hours, which made it very inconvenient for guests who leave early for sightseeing. Breakfast timings were delayed, and even though it was complimentary, it was not properly managed. The rooms had very minimal facilities, bathroom locks were missing, and the windows were not clean. The management seemed unprofessional and unable to handle issues. Even the campfire was poorly organized, with no music and lasting only a few minutes. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory stay and I would not recommend this resort to anyone. We are taking a resort to enjoy ourselves, not to be restricted. So please keep that in mind when booking Even giving this resort 1 star is too much👎🏻

Wonderful Stay with Excellent Service! We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was neat and clean, with all the essential amenities well-maintained. Hot water was available throughout, which added to our comfort. The food was not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. What truly stood out were the breathtaking views from the property and the incredibly cooperative and courteous staff who made our stay extra special. A special thanks to the General Manager, Ms. Shalini, for going above and beyond to accommodate our special requests. Her attention to detail and hospitality truly made us feel welcomed and cared for. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable, scenic, and budget-friendly stay!

The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were courteous and accommodating. We tried both their dinner and breakfast, which were quite good. Overall, we had a great experience. Special thanks to Sahal and Nanditha for their exceptional assistance.

We traveled with kids and biggest problem was there was no continuous hot water facility. Water was only available from 7am-9am. The rooms were neat and clean with a great view. There was no kettle provided in each room, we had to ask for it. The staff was very good but the service was very very slow. The food options for dinner were limited but they were tasty and at a reasonable price. There was no cell signal in the room and the wifi was also very slow if it was working. The parking is about 100 meters uphill, so be prepared for a workout if you forget something in the car. They setup campfire on the terrace if it is not raining at 8:30pm and music is allowed until 10pm.

I paid ₹12,582 for 3 nights on Booking.com. But when I reached the hotel, the room was very dirty. The walls had big cracks, water was leaking from the walls and windows, and the door didn’t lock properly. I complained to Booking.com, and the hotel manager came and fought with me for reporting. They gave me another room, but it was also bad. Booking.com said they would change my booking to 1 night(24.05.2025 to 25.05.2025) and refund the money for the other 2 nights. So I checked out the next morning. But until now (August 4, 2025), I didn’t get my refund. I trusted them, but they didn’t return my money. Don’t use Booking.com if you want a happy trip. If you want to punish someone, maybe send them to this hotel.

Stayed for 5 days and it was the best 5 days i have ever experienced. The view is magnificent and just as advertised. Rooms were very clean & hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating of all my needs. Overall, the experience for me has been top notch. It felt like a home away from home.

Positives: 1. Location where the property is situated is just awesome. Great view from the room and calm, quiet atmosphere. 2. Staffs were supportive 3. Breakfast was good and tasty even though it only had limited options. Negatives: 1. Property is not maintained well. 2. Room was having a bad smell when we arrived. 3. Lights in room was not working properly. 4. Tap was broken and flush was not working properly. 5. There was frequent power outages and wifi was unstable.
