NillAmazing place amidst a lush green estate. The very pleasant owner and family made us feel welcome and attended to. Well maintained rooms and common dining area. Excellent location, very easy to locate and commute from. Delicious, sumptuous food was also provided.

NillThe care taker is a elderly person who guided us and we reach the place easily. To tell about the rooms it is tidy, pleasant and spacious. People here to assist are really kind, great and helpful. I went there for my Anniversary and the care take he himself gave me wine to celebrate my joyous moment, which will be cherished forever. Quality of food is really good with a menu what you prefer. infact great but price charged for food is slightly higher. Place around room is a vast coffee estate and maintained well. You can enjoy the scenic beauty. The owner gives you the option to upgrade your room with a small price change based on availability.

★★★★★We stayed for 3 nights in Berry Lane home-stay in June 2016 and had the most wonderful time. We were 7 people including my husband, our son, my dad and in-laws and the vacation was memorable as it was homely atmosphere in the middle of the estate, serene and as close to nature as it can be. The home cooked meals by the in house cook and the regional food they served was fantastic. The highlight was also the freshly brewed Coffee which they served 2-3 times/ day was perfect for the rainy weather we had. Would recommend this place to everyone.

★★★1) If you are on a holiday with the sole intention of being totally cut-off from the maddeningly stressful life of the city and want to be among nature, then there is no better place than Coorg Berry Lane. Its amidst a beautiful Coffee plantation, ages away from the town and will rejuvenate you post a 2 day rest.||||2) However, if you have travelled 900 kms. from a different state and visiting Coorg for sight seeing, then this surely is not where you would want to stay. It’s far far away from the sights of interest. We had an harrowing time going to Madikeri and getting back to the guest house.||||3) Breakfast is bland. Dinner is Super. The charges were reasonable as well.||||4) Book only the rooms at the ground floor. The one’s with the antique furniture and all. The view from the balcony here is very good. For a thrifty traveler like me, they are expensive though. The standard rooms are like something in the basement. Though not bad, not that great either. We had booked these. The approach to the rooms gets dark in the night.

★Berry Lane is an extremely gorgeous property, and the positives stop right there. We reached there around mid-day and asked if they could prepare us a basic meal for which we would pay extra (it is located in the middle of nowhere with no accessible restaurants and transport), but they flatly refused. They grudgingly offered us coffee, which came after 45 mins. Berry Lane doesn't even serve you breakfast if you tell them a day in advance. A part of the homestay charm is the food, otherwise one would simply stay in a hotel. Berry Lane fails on almost all counts.||||Secondly, half the lights in the room weren't working. The geyser wasn't working well, and the water force of the shower was pathetic. It was like bathing under a tap. This was the Deluxe room||||Third, we had to step out at 7 PM, and the entire property was dark. No lights were put up anywhere, which is especially dangerous considering the property has snakes uncomfortably close to the rooms. ||||The property itself is very green and gorgeous, but that hardly matters if basics like safety, electricity and food aren't taken care of. A proper waste of money, I'd say.

★★★★Well a reasonable priced homestay with some great view. We had taken the standard room which was clean and well maintained. The breakfast we had was Upma which was ok, but the idli was hard and sambar watery. We were visiting a friends wedding at the nearest Kodava Samaj so did not go for the lunch or dinner on both the days. I hope they have some games apart from badminton. Overall a nice place to visit.

★★★★★Berry lane is located in the middle of a coffee plantation. The food is awesome....we let them decide on the menu but specifically mentioned that we wanted coorg cuisine. There is a beautiful deck where we used to chill. The rooms are basic. It was a boon to have poor internet and network.... the family bonded.||We heard wild elephants at night... they were inside the plantation. Very exciting for us city bred people.
