Hotel VKR Lodge

The worst room I have ever stayed in. No cleaning no any cooperation no any hygiene too much congested and too much rent for the room. The hotel have settled with nearby autodrivers when you reach on the bus stop or railway station and ask you for hotel to them they firstly take you to this place for a good commission on your stay. And maximum the customers check in in early mornings the next day even if you late 10minutes to check out they demands the second day rent

WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER BEEN IN. Extremely unpleasant rooms so congested in size and Room rent is charged 700for single room. workers will irritate you for tips and even curse you if you won't pay them... And one more thing they are in collaboration with Local Autorickshaw drivers. So be careful !!!

Very worst, I will never suggest this place for any family stay, my family were on a unplanned travel to Madurai every hotels where filled hence with no other choice we had to stay here it was a nightmare, the rooms where very small it would suffocate, no cleanliness saw spider webs in all the corner of the rooms, bed sheets where very dirty, bathing would flood the room, and room service men's are very arrogant and indecent, never go here with your family/solo very worst....

Poorly maintained.Even Drinking Water is only available at ground floor. Steps are Hard to climb for elderly people. Poor maintained rest rooms. Rooms were somewhat sufficient. Located in a central area just right behind Periyar bus stand which is at walkable distance. No amenities. And final thing is the cleaning staff doesn't forget to ask for a tip after vacating the room.

Very pathetic condition of house keeping and room service. High rate when comparing room space and neatness. There are 4 floors and rooms but there is no lift, you should climb a narrow upstairs. Staff in reception at night is irritating customers and provoking without any cause. Kindly avoid to stay there if any other chance existing.

Worst room ever, ugly and unclean, please never ever visit this lodge and you you will regret for sure of you visit. No lights in toilet and bedsheet was not given. Staffs were not good asking tips for everything.

WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER BEEN IN. The manager and all the staff were wasted drunk and shouting down the hallway at each other all night. After 2 hours of being kept up I went to the desk to request some quiet, so they turned off their music but continued to tell. I fell asleep to them talking outside my room at about 1:30 and slept through it until 6:15 when the manager was shouting down the hallway again. They were all asking me for extra money, because I'm foreign I guess they feel entitled. One of them just held out his hand and whined. But that's just the culture of Madurai I guess. Upside was that they rigged the TV to work so I had cable. Otherwise I would give them zero stars if that was an option.
