Ok type hotel for stay. Toilet is not clean. Bedsheet and blankets so dirty it's cause of skin itching.

This is definetly a home away from home. We stayed at their RA puram guest house. Not a posh or a luxury home. Felt like I lived in my own old home . Renovated rooms, with basic facilities like AC, wifi, tv, attached toilet and room service. If you are looking for star facility , sorry not this one. The rooms are well maintained, spacious , clean and homely. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Food was really good. The complimentary breakfast was a boon. A good shelter for people who chose to leave their stuff and away out most of the time. I really liked it. Worth the price and homely. Would definitely recommend for budgeting families .

I booked a room over the telephone and the person at the other end confirmed my booking. When I presented to the place for my room, the manager there stated they were full and no rooms were available and denied ever having received my booking. He rang up someone else and said that I had indeed booked, but there were no rooms available. He was quite rude about it and offered no solutions. I had to go about looking for another place. This is the kind of service these people give. Please do not trust them.

A group of us booked into this hotel as a study group ( the study facilities were on the top floor of this 3 storey building) and despite meeting all VR Homes requirements ie transferring 50% of the cost months in advance of our arrival, responses and confirmations were slow. We had sent a list of single and shared rooms required but confusion reigned when the first of our group arrived in the early hours of a Friday morning.|The hotel appears to cater mainly to local men and is staffed that way. Our group were mostly female and as such were forced to share a few rooms and to then repeatedly move rooms for the first few days to make room for other people who we were told required rooms urgently.|Clearly overbooked, it seemed some of the more amenable women in our group were targeted as ‘prime movers’! |I understand there are cultural differences and having spent time in Chennai before our expectations were realistic.|Preference here seemed to be given to local men and we were generally not listened to until the manager of our study group intervened with the VR Homes manager - even then some of our group were charged single room rates for the nights they were forced to share.||The young men who lived at the hotel tried their best to be helpful and were well meaning although were clearly being directed to make room changes from managers who were ‘on the phone’.||Food was supplied and well cooked but most bathrooms were broken in some shape or form and were not v clean eg showers didn’t work, heavy soap scum, broken toilet seats...|The ground floor rooms were plagued by mosquitoes and noise from guests, washing machines and cooking facilities on the roof bounced around the building and meant that sleep was disturbed.||While the charge of $40 a night seemed good value the reality was quite different!

The big probelm is they don't have dedicated parking. You have to park in main road. Room service is ok. Rooms are nice. Best to being your own towels and they won't provide shampoo like regular hotels. Only medimix soap :)
