The Taj Crown Hotel Agra

We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay. Service was fantastic and they went out of their way to help us after our bags got stuck in Singapore. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Located in a nice spot close enough to walk to the Taj Mahal but nicely away from some of the chaos closer to the east gate. Would highly recommend to fellow Australian travellers.

My wife and me are travelling around India for 6months. We are in our 60’s and although we are on a budget we are not doing any of that sharing bunk dorms and bathrooms malarky. Too old for that!! Hotel Taj Vista in Agra is superb. We booked through an agent in Delhi and breakfast is included, which may need to check if booking direct. Brilliant hotel. Room is spacious. Bed is huge and comfy. There is a desk and bench seat in the room too which is great as I am always up before the Mrs so I can sit and read. Great bathroom and shower too. The breakfast buffet is so good. Western/Indian tea,coffee,chai. Lovely roof terrace with a glimpse of the Taj and you can order meals to eat anywhere in the hotel. All this was £22 a night!! Couple of nice cafe/bar places right out on the road opposite as well. Top it off with a 20 minute walk to the Taj, a quiet location and excellent helpful staff, and all in all, it’s one of the best we’ve had in India so far. You could pay a lot more for not much difference at all. Highly recommended.

Was a very pleasant stay, nice rooms and bathroom amenities, good breakfast and in a great location a short walk from the Taj Mahal. It also has a lovely rooftop where I chilled while waiting for my train, would highly recommend as it was a very comfortable stay and I’m sure it would be good for couples, groups or families although I was solo.

What if u pay so much of money then see lizard in washroom( lizard in photo). Have to stay in such room for 1 whole day. We asked for change of room then all of sudden all room got full and no substitute. It was working day, still room got full. Secondly as we were 3 adults and they provided us with one extra matress, in middle of the night in deep sleep water started pouring from the AC on me as i was sleeping under the AC system. Still no substitute room available. Thirdly i asked for hot water for bath, they didnt had continuous supply of hot water, they was providing bucket by bucket. No fridge in the room. Its a big no to stay in this hotel

The service at the hotel was good, especially for the breakfast buffet. The tea there was probably the best I've ever had. The potato curry and puri is the best food I've eaten in India so far. I would have liked the room to be cleaner. There was some hair on the floor, and the couch was dirty. Also, the water from the shower was cold.

The overall ambience was decent, but there were several issues during my stay. I had booked a room with a bathtub, only to later discover that it wasn’t functional because the tap handle had been removed. It might be better to opt for a standard room instead. Hot water was also inconsistent throughout my stay, and some of the switches weren’t working properly. In order to keep the fan running, the lights also had to be on. The bathroom had a leak, with water constantly accumulating near the sink. Additionally, the hotel is located near a fruit and vegetable market, which feels unsafe and adds to the noise in the area.

Our stay was perfect and on walking distance from the Taj Mahal, it is in the centre of Agra, lots of shops are closeby. Hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help us all the time, bteakfast was really good actually. You also can make a train and bus reservation at the reception
