Hotel Jigyasa Palace

Avoid Avoid Avoid !!!!! I booked this hotel through Agoda. At the time of the booking I was clearly given the option of not to pay in advance and to pay directly at the hotel. I found this a better option as some hotels take the money but the rooms are sometimes dirty and it may sound surprising but some hotels don’t even exist. I went ahead, made the booking and received a confirmation email stating my hotel stay was CONFIRMED. I then travelled with my wife and son to the hotel only to find out that my room reservation had been cancelled as our payment had not been received. I was shocked as it was clearly stated that the payment was to be done at the hotel. I even showed the hotel confirmation to him only to hear that we had been sent an email asking when we would be coming and since we did not reply the room was sold away. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY EMAIL IN THE EVENING THAT DAY WHEN I WENT TO THE HOTEL BUT SURPRISINGLY RECEIVED IT THE NEXT DAY IN THE MORNING. This doesn’t make any sense as Agoda gives us the option of paying directly at the hotel which is something anybody would choose before reading this review and the hotel cancels the booking without informing us and the hotel email arrives the next day. I had been chatting watching YouTube and a bit of Netflix on my way to Agra so there was no way that I would not receive the email if it was sent on time before our arrival that evening. Moreover why would I come to the hotel if I would receive the email or at least I would have definitely contacted the hotel asking them about further options about rooms. Imagine the state we were left in after finding out that our reservation was cancelled. All our plans were disturbed as we had calculated the distance from all the attractions that were going to the next day. We were left at the mercy of a rickshaw driver who turned out to be honest and referred us to a friendly hotel. Either Agoda stops giving us the option of paying directly at the hotel or it takes off useless disgraceful hotels like Jigyasa palace which lie straight on your face and show no willingness to help someone who’s room is cancelled and who is not at fault. Moreover the hotel is in a weird dingy location full of narrow lanes so avoid if u are visiting with your family. Happy and confident enough to show booking confirmation emails highlighting booking dates and timing the emails were received. Telephone records to show no phone call received prior to arrival and emails with timings RECEIVED THE NEXT DAY from Jigyasa palace hotel.

Staffs were well-behaved.. room was too good.. Served tasty food.. 1 km away from agra fort railway station.. Recommended

It is really a 3 star hotel , it has its own restaurant, AC is working properly, Sanitized Glass ,2 ltr complimentary water bottle (chilled),good bathroom with shower gel, shampoo,handwash dispenser, kettle for making tea , tv is not working

Cant believe the 4 star reviews of this place, it is MISLEADING. Quality is very poor, holes in the sofa, dirty sheets and bathroom, very old and rundown place. Not recommended for women.

Hotel Is Good and located in the the middle of the city Room are good enough but service is not so good You have to ask for everything , like towels , cleaning and other chores Parking is not available here

Rats!!! THE ROOMS HAVE RATS!! They came out of the wall at 3:00 am in the morning. I discovered a large hole in the wall by the bed. Good reviews appear to be fake. Please do not stay here.

Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future with my family members.

Very bad experience in this hotel please don’t visit because booked rooms not available and charged rooms is very dirty
