Bodhiwoods Resort

I recently visited Bodhiwoods Resort with my parents, wife, and 2-year-old child. The resort is clean, cozy, and well-maintained, offering a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The wooden cottages enhance the overall aesthetic appeal. Though the resort is small, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, including a kids' play area, cycling, a swimming pool, and a unique parrot aviary, which sets it apart from other resorts. I was particularly impressed with the quick response to any requests we made. Both the food and services were excellent. It' s close proximity to the rock-cut monuments makes it convenient for quickly exploring Mahabalipuram. A big thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

They’ve gotta maintain amenities better. As a regular hotel room, it is really good. Everything is neat and clean. As a resort, they’ve a lot of activities to offer but not much is well maintained. The tunnel house thing reeks and the cycles are punctured. Swimming pool water quality is decent but there’s a bucket-load of leaves. Overall solid as a hotel due to its proximity to places and the rooms, fails to bring it home as a resort.

The place has amazing ambience. We stayed for 1 night in the Premium Studio Chalet. It is super value for money. Much better than the so called beach resorts. The place has an aviary, a couple of ducks and well designed rooms. The breakfast buffet was decent. Very quiet and peaceful stay. Couldn't find any cons

Had an amazing stay at Bodhi Woods Resort, Mahabalipuram. The wooden chalets are cozy and well-maintained, offering a unique and peaceful experience. The staff is incredibly hospitable and attentive. Loved the serene environment, swimming pool, and the private bird aviary, which added a special touch to our stay. Delicious food and great amenities made the trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway! 🌿✨

I was here as a guest for a wedding nearby and had a very comfortable stay. The room had everything I needed, including fantastic aircon. Staff were incredibly attentive and nice, especially management. Received a lovely lemon drink on arrival! Some things in the room were a little worn but it didn't bother me. It was always nice to return to my room at the end of a long day. As an international guest, I only wish there were some other food options nearby because I couldn't access food delivery, but it's nice that there is a restaurant on-site. The breakfast was a highlight. Really enjoyed the swimming pool, access to a clothes rack for drying outfits, and the peace and quiet.

We spent a weekend here as an extended family of 20 people. It was truly a memorable experience, the staff were super friendly, the complimentary breakfast was filled with variety and was amazing. The list of activities didn’t seem like much to do in the beginning but we found ourselves completely occupied and having so much fun! The rooms were very well maintained too. The highlight was the karaoke and concert they had organized. The activity centre was filled with games and the two large pools were often cleaned. Coming from busy city lives, this was the perfect getaway amidst the sound of chirping birds, and a truly bonding experience with loved ones. Would definitely go here again!

Bodhi Woods Resort offers a pleasant environment for families and friends, but it comes with its share of drawbacks. The booking process was frustrating due to delayed confirmation, leaving us initially skeptical. However, the warm welcome with a drink upon arrival was reassuring. The rooms were decent, and the resort's highlights include a kids' pool, a larger swimming pool, a bird shelter, and outdoor games like badminton and basketball. Unfortunately, many facilities appear worn out due to poor maintenance. Dinner was included in our booking, though it may not be necessary for light eaters. Walking around the resort was enjoyable, but it’s evident the property was better maintained in the past. While the experience was decent, the high prices feel unjustified, and urgent improvements are needed to restore its charm and reputation. Initial experience during booking I recently booked a room at Bodhiwoods Resort through their website, but my initial experience has been disappointing. Apart from the confirmation received during the payment process, I haven't received any further confirmation regarding my booking. I hope the stay itself will make up for this lackluster first impression.

This is small resort. The rooms are decent and washroom is clean. Morning complementary breakfast was superb. Lunch was average and for dinner there was no choice other than chapathi and aloo parotha along with side dish. We stayed during weekday and at night only 4 rooms were occupied out of 18 so the dinner food option was limited. Services in restaurent can be improved, after the food was placed in table no one was present to help us out with other request. we had to go near the kitchen and call them to offer service. Prices of food are expensive. 1 inch diameter gulab jamun cost Rs 140(2 piece )The resturent staffs are not bother to provide service and check if the food they offered was good. Overall a nice place to stay here and enjoy the birds aviery.
